Prologue
The sun was setting over the hustle and bustle of the bustling Manhattan cityscape. Up on the 23rd story of an apartment building, a sleek, grey tabby cat lay comfortably on a cushioned recliner, purring contentedly and paying no attention to the world beyond the window. Little did he know, but his life and the lives of all the other pets in the building was about to come to a dramatic head.
It all started with the arrival of a rather seemingly unassuming, but dangerously determined new pet.
Chapter 1
Max, the contented tabby cat, was the resident pet of an elderly gentleman who lived in the 23rd floor of the apartment building. He was a favorite pet of his elderly owner, who showered him with love and plenty of treats. He was the envy of all the other pets in the apartment complex; it wasn’t just his comfortable lifestyle, but also his good looks, which made him quite popular among the other furry inhabitants.
However, all this was about to change…
Chapter 2
One morning, Max’s elderly owner came home with a surprise. It was an oddly shaped, sloppy-looking mongrel that didn’t seem to belong in the apartment building. His elderly owner introduced him as Duke, and explained that he had found him on the streets, and had taken him in.
Max was wary. He didn’t like the way Duke looked, and he certainly didn’t trust him. Duke seemed to understand the situation and kept his distance, but it was clear that Max’s comfortable lifestyle was about to change.
Chapter 3
Before Max and Duke had a chance to become acquainted, a new development occurred: a white rabbit with a leather collar was spotted scurrying around the apartment building. No one knew where he had come from, but he was unmistakably cute and he found his way into the hearts of all the other pets in the building.
But Max had a feeling that there was something more to this bunny than meets the eye. After all, what was a bunny doing in a Manhattan apartment building?
Chapter 4
As it turned out, Max was right to be suspicious. It soon emerged that the white rabbit was actually Snowball, a masterful manipulator who had a wild plan: to raise a powerful army of abandoned and neglected pets, in order to get revenge on the humans who had wronged them.
Despite Max’s doubts, Snowball managed to convince most of the pets in the building to join forces and help him carry out his dastardly plan. Max, however, still wasn’t convinced and he refused to join forces with Snowball.
Chapter 4.5
But when it became clear that Snowball’s army was quickly growing and gaining strength, Max began to worry. If Snowball was successful, not only would his comfortable life as a beloved pet be at risk, but all the other pets in the building would be in danger as well.
He knew that he had to do something, but he had no idea how to stop Snowball and his evil plan. He needed help, but who could he turn to? He looked to Duke, but the skeptical mongrel could only offer a shrug. It seemed like they were doomed.
Chapter 5
Just when Max and Duke were about to give up hope, they received an unexpected visit from an old friend. It was Simon, a brash Siamese cat who used to run with the toughest cats in town. He had heard about Snowball’s plan and he had come to offer his services.
He explained that he and his gang had a way of getting in and out of places that no one else could. Max and Duke immediately accepted his offer and the trio set out to put an end to Snowball’s evil plans.
Chapter 6
Using their impressive set of skills, Simon, Max and Duke infiltrated Snowball’s hideout. They were shocked by what they found there—dozens of animals, all being held captive by the white rabbit and his army.
Luckily, the trio had backup and with the help of all the other pets in the apartment building, they were able to successfully take down Snowball. In the end, Snowball and his gang were rounded up and sent to the pound.
Epilogue
Max and Duke were hailed as the heroes of the day—they had managed to put an end to Snowball’s reign of terror and save all the animals that had been taken captive by his nefarious plot. As for Max and Duke, they became lifelong friends and, in time, Max finally accepted Duke as part of his family.
And, for the first time in a long time, peace returned to the apartment building and all the pets were finally able to live in harmony.

The camera pans down to reveal a large apartment building, perched atop a hill overlooking the city.
INT. APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
The camera follows an elderly gentleman as he enters the building, making his way towards the elevators.
EXT. 23RD FLOOR APARTMENT – DAY
The camera travels through the building, finally stopping at the door of the 23rd floor apartment.
INT. APARTMENT – DAY
The elderly gentleman enters the apartment, followed by a small, scruffy-looking mongrel on a leash. The camera pans to reveal the sleek, grey tabby cat – MAX – lying contentedly on a cushioned recliner, oblivious to the new arrival.

Scene 2: The Plan
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
The camera follows the mongrel, now known as Duke, as he walks the streets of the apartment building, taking in the hustle and bustle of the city.
EXT. PARK – DAY
Duke pauses at a nearby park and is soon joined by a mysterious white rabbit wearing a leather collar. The rabbit is Snowball, and he quickly reveals his plan to Duke; to use an army of neglected and abandoned pets to get revenge on the humans who had wronged them. Duke listens with interest, until finally nodding in agreement.
EXT. ALLEYWAY – DAY
The camera follows Duke and Snowball as they sneak down an alleyway, recruiting stray and neglected animals to join their cause.
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
The camera pans up to the 23rd floor apartment, where Max is still blissfully unaware of the brewing storm.
END SCENE
Scene 3: Tension
INT. APARTMENT – DAY
Max is lying on the recliner, peacefully watching the sun set behind the city skyline. Suddenly, he is disturbed by the sound of barking and meowing coming from the hallway outside. He quickly jumps up and goes to investigate.
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING – HALLWAY – DAY
Max is confronted with a chaotic scene: dozens of animals, some scruffy and some well-groomed, all milling around in the hallway. He quickly spots Duke leading them and it is then that he realises that something sinister is afoot.
EXT. PARK – DAY
The camera follows Max, Duke and the group of animals as they make their way to the park. As they arrive, Max notices Snowball and the other scavenger pets, and his suspicions are confirmed.
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
Max and Duke return to the building, both now aware that something must be done to stop Snowball and his plan. They look at each other, unsure of what to do, until Max finally breaks the silence with a determined nod.
END SCENE
Scene 4: Preparing for Battle
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING – HALLWAY – DAY
Max and Duke have enlisted the help of all the other pets in the building in their mission to stop Snowball. The pets are all gathering in the hallway, and the mood is tense with anticipation.
EXT. STREET – DAY
Simon, a Siamese cat who used to run with the toughest cats in town, arrives on the scene. He reveals that he and his gang have a way of getting in and out of places that no one else can. The group quickly accept him into their ranks.
EXT. SNOWBALL’S HIDEOUT – NIGHT
The camera follows Max, Duke, Simon and their army as they make their way to Snowball’s hideout. The pets are all outfitted with makeshift armor and weapons, and their determination is palpable.
INT. SNOWBALL’S HIDEOUT – NIGHT
The camera reveals the shocking sight inside the hideout; dozens of animals, all being held captive by Snowball and his army. With a roar of rage, the pets from the apartment building rush in, joining the fight against Snowball and his minions.
EXT. SNOWBALL’S HIDEOUT – NIGHT
The camera follows the group as they finally overpower Snowball and his gang, successfully putting an end to the reign of terror.
Epilogue
The camera pans up to the 23rd floor apartment, where Max, Duke and the other pets have returned and are celebrating their victory. As the camera pulls away, the peaceful atmosphere and the sounds of joy and laughter remain behind, as if to remind us of the lasting importance of unconditional friendship.
