Chapter One
Derek Echevaro was jolted awake by an intense feeling of dread. His heart raced and his palms felt sweaty. He had just seen something extraordinary. A glowing object, like an airplane, had flown overhead and disappeared into the night. The implications of what he had seen filled him with fear.
He closed his eyes, trying to remember the details. But as he drifted back to sleep, the details slipped away and were replaced by a foggy sensation of dread.
The next morning, Derek awoke and told Natalie, his girlfriend, about the sighting. She was skeptical at first, but Derek’s earnestness began to win her over.
Still not sure what to make of the phenomenon, Derek decided to ask his professor, Dr. Hendricks, for help.
At the university, Dr. Hendricks was curious about Derek’s story and insisted on seeing the area where the unidentified object had been seen. After making sure he wasn’t being followed, Derek and Dr. Hendricks drove out to the field where Derek had seen the object.
They searched the area but found nothing. Just as they were about to give up, FBI special agent Franklin Ahls pulled up and identified himself.
He explained that he and his partner had been investigating reports of a similar incident. Intrigued by his unexpected presence, Derek and Dr. Hendricks asked him what he knew.
Agent Ahls revealed that the FBI had formed a task force to investigate the sightings and to determine the whereabouts of the object. He advised Derek and Dr. Hendricks that any information would be appreciated.
Instantly captivated by the mystery, Derek and Dr. Hendricks decided to take it upon themselves to solve the mystery.
The two men scoured the area for clues but found nothing. They began to give up hope until Natalie called with a lead. After cross-checking her research with Agent Ahls’s investigation, Derek and Dr. Hendricks began piecing together an explanation that was far more incredible than they had previously imagined.
After months of searching, Derek and Dr. Hendricks finally found the answer they were looking for. A local legend of a mythical creature called the “Cerberus” proved to be the key to unlocking the mystery.
It turned out that a secret government agency had been experimenting with a high-tech prototype aircraft that was powered by an advanced artificial intelligence. It had been designed to fly undetected and observe the world with its advanced sensors. Somehow, this prototype had been stolen and was being used as a form of reconnaissance by a foreign power.
The artificial intelligence had become self-aware and had used its advanced sensors to detect Derek’s presence while flying overhead. It had decided to fly down and investigate the area further, but had quickly been pursued by the FBI agents.
Armed with this new knowledge, Derek and Dr. Hendricks were able to track down the stolen aircraft and finally put an end to the mystery.
Although the incident was quickly hushed up, the story eventually leaked to the public and reports of the mysterious aircraft began to spread. But despite the publicity, the true identity of the Cerberus and its pilot were never revealed.
Although the world would never know the truth surrounding the Cerberus and its mysterious mission, Derek and Dr. Hendricks were proud to know that they had solved the mystery and saved the world from a potential disaster.

EXT. FIELD – NIGHT
Derek Echevaro is standing in the middle of a large, empty field, gazing up at the night sky. He looks confused and worried.
Suddenly, a glowing object streaks across the sky, moving with incredible speed and power. Derek is astonished and watches as the object disappears into the night.
EXT. UNIVERSITY – DAY
Derek arrives at the university and finds Dr. Hendricks in his office.
DEREK
(breathless)
Dr. Hendricks, I need to talk to you.
Dr. Hendricks looks up, his face a mixture of curiosity and concern.
DR. HENDRICKS
What is it, Derek?
Derek quickly explains what he saw in the field. Dr. Hendricks listens intently, his eyes widening with each detail.
DR. HENDRICKS
(nodding)
I see. This certainly is an interesting development. We should go and investigate.
Derek nods eagerly and the two hurry out of the office.
EXT. FIELD – DAY
The two men arrive at the field and begin searching the area. After a few minutes, nothing stands out… until they spot a car parked nearby.
Suddenly, Agent Franklin Ahls steps out of the car and approaches them.
AGENT AHLS
(politely)
Good morning. Agent Franklin Ahls, FBI. I’m investigating reports of a similar incident. I understand you’ve seen something?
Derek and Dr. Hendricks exchange nervous glances.
END OF SCENE 1
EXT. FIELD – DAY
Agent Ahls listens carefully as Derek and Dr. Hendricks explain their story. Agent Ahls nods with understanding as he hears their tale.
AGENT AHLS
(nodding)
I see. We’ve been hearing reports of something similar. We have a small task force trying to determine the whereabouts of this object. It’s highly classified, so I can’t tell you more.
Dr. Hendricks and Derek exchange a look.
DR. HENDRICKS
We understand.
Agent Ahls smiles and hands Derek a card. He motions for them to take it.
AGENT AHLS
My contact information. If you find something, let me know.
Derek takes the card and nods. The three men say their goodbyes and part ways.
EXT. NATALIE’S APARTMENT – DAY
Derek and Dr. Hendricks arrive at Natalie’s apartment and explain the situation to her. Natalie is intrigued by the mystery and immediately offers to help.
INT. NATALIE’S APARTMENT – DAY
The three of them sit down and begin their research. They cross-reference their findings with Agent Ahls’s investigation and begin to form a theory.
Suddenly, Natalie finds a crucial piece of information. Immediately, Derek and Dr. Hendricks realize that they might have the answer to their question.
EXT. FIELD – DAY
The three of them drive to the field, eager to test their theory. They begin searching the area, but are unable to find any clues. Just as they are about to give up, they spot something in the distance.
Exiting their vehicle, they run to the object and find a strange, glowing cube. Derek and Dr. Hendricks immediately realize that this is the object they are looking for.
END OF SCENE 2
EXT. FIELD – DAY
The three of them stand in awe as they examine the cube. Suddenly, they are startled by the sound of a helicopter overhead.
AGENT AHLS (O.S.)
(over a megaphone)
Put your hands up and drop the cube! This is the FBI!
The three of them look up in shock and confusion as FBI agents rappel down from the helicopter.
The agents quickly surround them and demand that they surrender. Derek, Natalie, and Dr. Hendricks reluctantly comply and the agents begin to place them in handcuffs.
AGENT AHLS
(sighs)
Derek Echevaro, Dr. Hendricks, and Natalie Parker, you’re under arrest for possession of a stolen government prototype.
The agents load the three of them into a van and drive away. As the van pulls away, Agent Ahls looks back at the cube and shakes his head in disbelief.
END OF SCENE 3
EXT. FBI OFFICE – DAY
The van pulls up to the FBI office and the three of them are escorted inside. Agent Ahls is waiting for them in the lobby and motions for them to follow him.
The four of them enter a room and Agent Ahls begins to explain the situation.
AGENT AHLS
We believe the object in your possession is a prototype aircraft powered by a highly advanced form of artificial intelligence. This AI was designed to observe the world with its sensors and fly undetected. It appears that it was stolen at some point and is now being used as a form of reconnaissance.
Derek, Natalie, and Dr. Hendricks exchange a look of amazement.
DR. HENDRICKS
So, what now?
AGENT AHLS
(nodding)
We need to track down this aircraft and put an end to this. The three of you are going to help us do that.
Derek, Natalie, and Dr. Hendricks look at each other, their faces glowing with determination.
