He spends the next few days absorbing everything the festival has to offer and reconnecting with Shane. Through this shared experience, Nick is able to work through his issues and find solace in his newfound freedom.
By the time the festival ends, Nick has finally begun to move forward. He exchanges numbers with Summer and has made some new friends that he hopes to keep in touch with.
Shane and Nick leave the festival feeling better than ever. Not only did they address the mistake that was threatening to derail their plan, but they have found a way to move on from their past and start over.

The festival is in full swing. Crowds of people are milling about, enjoying the music, food, and drink.
Nick and Shane stand near the entrance, looking overwhelmed by the size of the event.
SHANE
Wow, this is huge.
NICK
It’s a lot bigger than I expected.
Shane smiles and then looks around the festival.
SHANE
Come on, let’s go explore!
The two best friends walk through the crowds, admiring the sights and sounds of the festival. They share an excited look as they pass the various stages and vendors.
Nick stops and admires a vendor selling unique jewelry.
NICK
Whoa, look at that!
Shane follows his gaze and smiles.
SHANE
That’s amazing!
Suddenly, Nick notices a beautiful girl across the way. She’s wearing a bright purple dress and smiling as she talks with a friend.
Nick stares for a moment, mesmerized by her beauty.
SHANE
Hey, come on.
Shane grabs Nick by the arm and pulls him away, snapping him out of his trance.

Let’s go check out the music.
Nick smiles, still in awe of the girl he just saw.

EXT. MUSIC FESTIVAL – DAY
The sun is setting and the festival is still going strong. Nick and Shane are walking around, enjoying the sights and sounds.
Suddenly, Shane notices a familiar face in the crowd.
SHANE
Hey, isn’t that Summer?
Nick looks over and sees Summer walking towards them. His face lights up with excitement.
NICK
It is!
Summer notices the two best friends and stops in front of them.
SUMMER
Hey guys!
Nick can barely contain his excitement and blurts out a response.
NICK
Hi!
The three of them start chatting and it’s clear that Nick and Summer are hitting it off.
They talk for a few minutes about the festival, their favorite acts, and their plans for the rest of the night.
After a while, Shane notices that Nick and Summer are having a great time and decides to give them some space.
SHANE
Well, I think I’m going to head out for the night. You two have fun!
Nick and Summer say their goodbyes and Shane leaves. Nick and Summer continue their conversation and eventually, Nick invites Summer to join him on a walk around the festival grounds.
The two of them wander around, talking and laughing while the sun sets in the background. It’s clear that the two of them have an undeniable connection and they both can feel it.
As they walk, they talk about their hopes and dreams and eventually, they find themselves back at the entrance where it all started.
Summer looks up at Nick and smiles.
SUMMER
I had a great time.
NICK
Me too!
The two of them exchange a knowing look and then Summer gives Nick a hug, promising to stay in touch.
Nick and Summer part ways, both feeling a newfound sense of hope for their future.
As Nick watches her walk away, he knows that the festival was the start of something special.
EXT. MUSIC FESTIVAL – DAY
Nick and Shane are walking around the festival grounds, discussing their plans for the rest of the day.
Suddenly, Shane stops and looks around.
SHANE
Do you realize what time it is?
Nick looks at his watch, realizing that it’s almost time for them to leave.
NICK
Oh no, we have to go!
Nick and Shane quickly rush back to the entrance, but when they get there they find out that their car is gone.
SHANE
What?!
NICK
It must have been towed!
Shane and Nick stand there, stunned and unsure of what to do next. Suddenly, Summer appears out of nowhere and runs towards them.
SUMMER
Guys! I was walking by and saw your car being towed away. Come on, I’ll take you to get it back!
Nick, Shane, and Summer jump into Summer’s car and head off to the tow yard.
After a few minutes of navigating their way through the city streets, they finally arrive at the tow yard.
Nick and Shane quickly jump out of the car, desperate to get their car back.
The two best friends frantically search for their car, but they can’t seem to find it. Just as they are about to give up hope, they see the car in the corner of the lot.
Nick and Shane run towards the car, relieved to have found it.
NICK
Thank you so much Summer!
Summer smiles and then turns to leave.
SUMMER
Anytime! Have a great rest of the festival!
Nick and Shane wave goodbye to Summer as she drives away.
Shane turns to Nick and gives him a knowing look.
SHANE
See? Told you today was going to be an adventure.
EXT. MUSIC FESTIVAL – DAY
Nick and Shane are driving back to the festival grounds. They are both feeling a newfound sense of excitement and optimism.
SHANE
So, what do you think? Ready to make some more memories?
Nick smiles and nods in agreement.
NICK
Definitely!
The two best friends head back to the festival, ready to make the most of the rest of the day.
Once back on the grounds, Nick and Shane wander around, admiring the sights and sounds of the festival. As they walk, Nick notices Summer walking around with a group of friends.
Nick smiles and starts heading in her direction. Shane notices and stops him.
SHANE
Wait, let me go first.
Shane walks up to Summer and introduces himself. After a few moments of talking, he invites Summer and her friends to join them.
Summer agrees and she, Nick, and Shane spend the rest of the day exploring the festival together.
At the end of the day, Summer and Nick exchange numbers and make plans to keep in touch.
Nick and Shane watch Summer leave, both feeling a newfound sense of hope.
NICK

SHANE
Yeah, it was.
The two friends stand there, watching the sun set and knowing that their festival adventure was just the beginning.
