Prologue
It was the night before Christmas, and Jack Campbell was dreading what was to become. After 13 years of being separated from the one girl he truly loved, a sudden turn of events had Jack’s life taking an unexpected turn. Chapter 1
It had been 13 long years since Jack had seen his beloved Kate, his college sweetheart. After graduating from college, Kate had taken a job in Europe, and it had never seemed possible for them to be together again. That was until a surprise phone call he had received that fateful day.
The call was from Kate, and she had told him that she was coming back to New York for the holidays. After 13 years of silence, Jack’s heart suddenly filled with hope, and he immediately booked a ticket to New York to meet her.
Chapter 2
The flight from Philadelphia to New York was a blur. With each passing minute, Jack’s anticipation of reuniting with his long-lost love grew. As he touched down in the city, he could barely contain himself. Everything seemed to be taking too long and he wanted to be in Kate’s arms now.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Jack arrived at the address Kate had given him. He stood outside the door, nervous and anxious to finally see her again. He slowly knocked on the door and the rest was a blur.
Chapter 3
It was a cold winter night and Jack and Kate had found themselves walking together in Central Park. For the first time in over a decade, they talked about what had happened in the intervening years, about their dreams for the future, and about how much they both still loved each other.
As the night sky darkened, they found themselves under the veil of the stars. As they looked up at the night sky, Jack suddenly became aware of a mysterious force that seemed to be emanating from Kate. It was as if the stars had aligned and the two of them were suddenly caught in a magical moment.
Chapter 4
Their magical moment was broken by a faint buzzing sound coming from Jack’s pocket. He quickly realized that it was his cell phone and that he had received a text message. He opened the message and read it, and his heart suddenly dropped.
The message was from his boss. It said that he was needed back in Philadelphia immediately, and that he had to catch the last flight of the night. Jack and Kate were both devastated, but they knew that this was how things had to be. With tears in their eyes, they said their goodbyes and parted ways.
Jack arrived back in Philadelphia and immediately went to work. His days were now filled with endless phone calls, emails, and meetings, and he found himself constantly thinking about Kate. We see JACK CAMPBELL (30s) walking through Central Park, his face lit up with anticipation. He turns a corner and stops, seeing KATE (30s), his long-lost love, standing there in the moonlight.
JACK
Kate.
They stand there staring at each other for a moment.
JACK (CONT’D)
I can’t believe it’s you.
KATE
Me neither.
They both smile and she steps forward, embracing him.

I can’t believe we finally made it.
Jack kisses her forehead and they break apart.

He stares into her eyes.

EXT. CENTRAL PARK – NIGHT
FADE IN:
We see Jack and Kate walking hand in hand, deeply engrossed in conversation. As they talk, we can sense the palpable connection between them.
KATE
I can’t believe we’re actually here, together again.
JACK
Me neither.
He stops and kisses her, expressing all the love he’s been holding onto for the past 13 years. They break apart, still looking into each other’s eyes.
KATE
I’m so glad I finally found you.
JACK
Me too.
He takes her face in his hands and kisses her tenderly.
JACK (CONT’D)
I never want to be apart from you again.
She smiles and they embrace each other tightly.

EXT. JACK’S APARTMENT – DAY
FADE IN:
We see Jack and Kate walking together, smiling at each other. They enter Jack’s apartment and walk into the living, where they find a beautiful Christmas tree.
KATE
Oh my gosh, it’s so beautiful!
JACK
I wanted everything to be perfect for you.
She hugs him, tears in her eyes.
KATE
And it is.
They kiss and then she looks around the room and notices a box under the tree.
KATE (CONT’D)
What’s this?
Jack grins and hands her the box.
JACK
Open it.
She does and finds a necklace with a heart-shaped diamond pendant.
KATE
It’s gorgeous!
JACK
The heart is to remind you of the love we have for each other.
They hug and kiss again, then they sit down in front of the Christmas tree and enjoy the evening.
FADE OUT.
EXT. HOSPITAL – DAY
FADE IN:
We see Jack and Kate walking out of the hospital, beaming with joy. Kate is holding a bundle of joy in her arms.
KATE
We did it!
They both laugh and Jack kisses her forehead.
JACK
I’m so proud of you.
KATE
It was all worth it.
They look at each other, love shining in their eyes.
KATE (CONT’D)
We finally have our little family.
Jack smiles and takes Kate’s hand in his.
JACK
Let’s go home.
They walk out of the hospital, a family of three.
