BILLY (CONT’D)
Dad! Dad, come quick!
Rand comes rushing in, but by then the Mogwai have already escaped the room and are wreaking havoc throughout the house.
RAND
What the hell is going on?
BILLY
I don’t know, I woke up and they were everywhere!
RAND
We need to catch them before they do any more damage.
They spend the next few minutes chasing the Mogwai around the house, trying to catch them. Every time they think they have one, it manages to slip away.
BILLY
This is insane!
RAND
We need to figure out what’s going on with these things.
BILLY
But how? We don’t even know where they came from.
Just then, the phone rings.
RAND
I’ll get it.
He answers the phone.
RAND (CONT’D)
Hello?
VOICE ON PHONE
Is this the Peltzer residence?
RAND
Yes, it is.
VOICE ON PHONE
This is Mr. Wing. I am the owner of the Mogwai you have in your possession.
RAND
Oh…yes…hello.
VOICE ON PHONE
I trust they have been well taken care of?
RAND
Well, we’ve had a bit of a problem…
The camera follows the two as Mr. Wing’s voice drifts off into the background.

FADE IN:
EXT. SMALL TOWN – DAY
The gremlins are running wild in the streets, causing chaos and destruction. Billy and his friends, Kate and Murray, attempt to fight back with whatever weapons they can find, but the gremlins are too fast and too numerous.
BILLY: We have to do something! We can’t let them destroy the whole town!
KATE: I have an idea. There’s a water tower on the edge of town. If we can lure them there, we can take them out all at once.
MURRAY: Are you crazy? There’s too many of them! We’ll never make it!
BILLY: She’s right. It’s our only chance.
The group quickly comes up with a plan and sets out to lure the gremlins to the water tower.
INT. WATER TOWER – DAY
The group sets up a trap and waits for the horde of gremlins to arrive.
BILLY: (whispering) Here they come. Get ready.
The gremlins arrive in a flurry of chaos, but the group is able to trap them inside the water tower.
MURRAY: Now what?
KATE: We need to electrocute them. It’s the only way to kill them all at once.
BILLY: How are we supposed to do that?
KATE: I have an idea.
Kate quickly sets to work, rigging up a system of wires and cables that will electrocute the water tower.
KATE: Okay, I’m ready. Get ready to flip the switch.
The group braces themselves as they prepare to flip the switch.
BILLY: (to Murray) You ready for this?
MURRAY: (nervously) No, but let’s do it anyway.
The group flips the switch, and there’s a blinding flash of light as the water tower is electrocuted. When the group emerges from the tower, they find that all the gremlins have been eliminated.
KATE: (breathlessly) It worked! We did it!
BILLY: (smiling) Yeah, we did.
MURRAY: (grinning) That was insane! We make a pretty good team.
The group looks around at the destruction around them, but there’s a sense of relief that the gremlin threat has finally been neutralized.
FADE OUT.
Scene 4

Billy Peltzer – Protagonist
Gizmo – Mogwai pet
Kate – Billy’s love interest
Pete – Billy’s friend-turned-traitor
Stripe – Leader of the gremlins
Setting:
Small town in the Midwest, USA
FADE IN:
INT. MOVIE THEATER – NIGHT
Gremlins are running amok in the theater, throwing popcorn and causing chaos. Billy and Kate are hiding in the projection booth.
BILLY
(to Kate)
I can’t believe this is happening. This was supposed to be a fun night out.
KATE
(whispering)
I know, this is crazy. We have to find a way out of here.
Suddenly, a group of gremlins bursts into the projection booth, laughing and throwing film reels around.
GREMLIN #1
Hey, look who we found up here!
BILLY
(standing up)
Hey, get out of here!
The gremlins attack Billy, but he manages to fight them off, knocking one out with a nearby film reel.
KATE
We have to get out of here now!
They make a run for the exit, but are blocked by Pete, who is holding a gremlin in his arms.
PETE
(looking at Billy and Kate)
You guys should join us. It’s so much fun!
BILLY
(angrily)
What the hell are you doing, Pete?
PETE
(shrugging)
I’m just having a good time. You should try it.
KATE
(alarmed)
We have to go. Now.
The gremlins approach, led by Stripe, their leader.
STRIPE
(looking at Billy and Kate)
Ah, the humans. Ready to join the party?
BILLY
(shaking his head)
We’ll never join you. We’ll fight you until the end.
STRIPE
(laughing)
Very well. Let’s see if you can handle the next act.
The gremlins attack Billy and Kate, and a fierce battle ensues. Billy manages to knock Stripe off his feet, and the gremlins start to retreat.
KATE
We did it!
Suddenly, Pete grabs Kate and holds her at knifepoint.
PETE
(smiling)
Not so fast.
Billy tries to reason with Pete, but he’s too far gone. Suddenly, Gizmo appears, and jumps onto Pete’s face, causing him to drop the knife. Billy grabs the knife and holds it up to Pete.
BILLY
(angrily)
You’re done, Pete.
Pete runs off, and the group is left standing in the ruined theater.
KATE
(sighing)
That was insane. I never want to go through that again.
BILLY
(smiling)
At least we made it out alive.
Gizmo jumps onto Billy’s shoulder, and they all make their way out of the theater.
FADE OUT.
Scene 5
Genre: Horror/Comedy
Setting: Small town of Kingston
Characters: Billy Peltzer, Kate Beringer, Gizmo, Stripe, the gremlins
Dialogue:
Billy: “These things are out of control, we have to do something!”
Kate: “I know, but what can we do? They’re destroying everything in their path.”
Gizmo: (Chattering in fear)
Stripe: (Cackling with glee)
The gremlins have taken over the local tavern, turning it into a gruesome horror show. The humans are trapped inside, and the gremlins are using them as entertainment. Billy, Kate, and Gizmo watch from a safe distance, horrified at what they’re seeing.
Kate: “We have to do something, Billy. We can’t just sit here and watch this.”
Billy: “I know, but we need a plan. They outnumber us, and they’re armed with weapons.”
Gizmo: (Chattering in agreement)
Suddenly, they hear a commotion coming from inside the tavern. They see a human being dragged out by a group of gremlins, and they know they have to act fast.
Billy: “Okay, here’s what we’ll do. Kate, you distract them from the front, I’ll sneak in from the back and try to take them out from behind.”
Kate nods in agreement, and they put their plan into action. Kate runs to the front of the tavern, shouting and waving her arms to get the gremlins’ attention. Meanwhile, Billy sneaks in through the back door, armed with a makeshift weapon.
He sees the gremlins surrounding a group of humans, who are cowering in fear. He takes a deep breath and charges at them, swinging his weapon with all his might. The gremlins turn to face him, snarling and hissing.
Billy fights off the gremlins one by one, dodging their attacks and striking them down with his weapon. Kate provides backup from the front, throwing objects at the gremlins and distracting them from Billy’s attacks.
Finally, Stripe, the leader of the gremlins, emerges from the chaos. He’s armed with a more advanced weapon, and he’s determined to take down Billy.
Billy and Stripe engage in a fierce battle, each determined to come out on top. The other gremlins watch from a safe distance, waiting to see who will emerge victorious.
In the end, Billy manages to defeat Stripe, but not without sustaining serious injuries himself. Kate rushes to his side, and they look around at the destruction that surrounds them.
Kate: “We did it. We stopped them.”
Billy: (Groans in pain) “Yeah, but at what cost?”
Gizmo: (Chattering in sorrow)
The group takes a moment to mourn their losses, but they know there’s still more work to be done. They gather their strength and prepare to take on the rest of the gremlins, determined to save their town from further destruction.

Scene 6: The Betrayal
INT. TAVERN – NIGHT
Billy, Gizmo and their friends sit at a table, staring at the chaos unfolding around them. The gremlins have taken over the tavern, smashing bottles and glasses, and terrorizing the customers.
Billy: “We have to do something. We can’t let them get away with this.”
Pete enters the room, grinning widely as he approaches Billy’s table.
Pete: “Hey guys, what’s going on? Having a little trouble with your furry friends?”
Billy: “What are you doing here, Pete? You’re supposed to be helping us stop this.”
Pete: “I changed my mind. These gremlins are too much fun to pass up. Plus, they promised to make me their king.”
Billy is shocked and hurt by Pete’s betrayal.
Billy: “How could you do this, Pete? Don’t you care about this town and the people in it?”
Pete: “Oh, lighten up, Billy. It’s all in good fun. Besides, who says the gremlins won’t spare us if we show them a good time?”
Stripe, the leader of the gremlins, enters the room and approaches the group.
Stripe: “Ah, Pete. Our new ally. I see you’ve brought us some more humans to play with.”
Pete laughs and high-fives Stripe.
Stripe: “You see, Billy? Your friend understands the fun of destruction. You should join us too. It’s much more entertaining than trying to stop us.”
Billy shakes his head in disbelief.
Billy: “I’ll never join you. I’ll never let you destroy this town.”
Stripe shrugs and signals to the gremlins around him.
Stripe: “Suit yourself. Boys, let’s show Billy and his friends what fun really looks like.”
The gremlins charge towards Billy and his group, ready to attack.
Gizmo jumps onto Billy’s shoulder and begins to whistle loudly. Suddenly, bright lights fill the room, blinding the gremlins. When the lights fade, the gremlins are gone, leaving only broken bottles and furniture in their wake.
Billy thanks Gizmo for saving them, but he can’t help feeling betrayed by Pete’s actions.
The group leaves the tavern, unsure of what the gremlins will do next.
Scene 7
FADE IN:
EXT. SMALL TOWN – DAY
The small town is in shambles. Buildings are on fire, cars are overturned, and gremlins run amok. Billy and his friends are armed with makeshift weapons and are ready for the final showdown.
BILLY:
(to his friends)
Alright guys, this is it. We take out the queen, and the rest of them should disintegrate.
SARA:
But where is the queen?
PETE:
(smirks)
She’s in the old abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town.
BILLY:
(disgusted)
How do you know that?
PETE:
(sadistic)
I’ve been helping them out. They promised me power and money.
BILLY:
(angrily)
You betrayed us, Pete!
PETE:
(cooly)
It’s too late now, Billy. You should have joined us when you had the chance.
Billy and his friends charge towards the mansion, fighting off gremlins left and right. They make their way to the throne room, where the queen gremlin sits on her throne, surrounded by her minions.
BILLY:
(to the queen)
Your reign of terror ends here!
QUEEN GREMLIN:
(laughs)
You puny humans think you can defeat me? I am invincible!
The battle begins. Billy and his friends are outnumbered, but they fight with all their might. The queen gremlin is powerful, but they manage to chip away at her defenses.
BILLY:
(to his friends)
We need to aim for her heart. That’s where she’s vulnerable!
They charge at the queen, dodging her attacks and slicing through her minions. Billy lands a critical blow, piercing the queen’s heart.
QUEEN GREMLIN:
(screams)
NOOOOO!
The queen disintegrates into a pile of goo, and the rest of the gremlins follow suit. The town is safe again.
BILLY:
(to his friends)
We did it! We saved the town!
SARA:
(hugs Billy)
You were amazing!
PETE:
(disgusted)
You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over.
Pete runs away, leaving Billy and his friends to clean up the mess.
FADE TO BLACK.
