Chapter 1 – A Dream Come True
Bella Swan and Edward Cullen had been planning their wedding for months, eagerly counting down the days until they would be husband and wife. They had both dreamed of this day since they met and although they had some obstacles to overcome, Bella was ecstatic that this long-awaited day had finally arrived.
The ceremony was held in a picturesque chapel in their hometown of Forks and was attended by their beloved family and friends. Everyone was so happy for the two of them and the exquisite reception with delicious food and drinks was the perfect way to end the day.
After the ceremony and reception were over, Bella and Edward finally had a chance to spend some time alone. They spent the day together just enjoying each other’s company and talking about the future. That night they left for their honeymoon on Isle Esme, a small island off the coast of Forks that was owned by Edward’s family.
It was the beginning of a perfect two weeks for the two newlyweds as they explored the island and enjoyed all of the activities it had to offer. They swam, hiked, and went horseback riding. They indulged in many romantic meals and shared many special moments together.
The days flew by and before they knew it, it was time to head home. They were both sad to go but were also looking forward to enjoying their new life together as husband and wife.
Chapter 2 – Surprising News
When Bella and Edward returned from their honeymoon, they were both feeling more in love than ever before. Their days were spent exploring the local area and enjoying all that Forks had to offer. They both settled into married life very easily, quickly establishing their own little family.
One evening, Bella was preparing dinner when she suddenly felt an unfamiliar sensation. She wasn’t sure what was happening and at first she was scared, but then she remembered what her mother had told her. She knew immediately that she was pregnant.
At first, she thought Edward would be mad, but when she told him the news, he was ecstatic. They spent the evening talking about their baby and all of the wonderful things they wanted to do together as a family.
However, as weeks passed by, Bella started to feel incredibly ill. Despite taking medicine, nothing seemed to help and she just kept getting worse. She started to grow at an abnormally fast rate and Edward and the wolf pack started to fear that she may be carrying an immortal child.
Chapter 3 – Waiting for the Baby
The weeks were slowly passing by and Bella’s health was only getting worse. Edward was now staying with her 24/7, trying his best to look after her and make sure she was as comfortable as possible.
The wolf pack was also there to help out and they had all established a strong bond with Bella. They were all extremely worried about her and the baby and they wanted to do all they could to make sure everything was alright.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the day had arrived. Bella was in labor and everyone was now anxiously waiting for the baby to arrive. Edward and the wolf pack were all in the room, supporting Bella and trying to help her through the labor.
After a few hours, Bella gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Everyone in the room was full of joy and relief. Bella and Edward named her Isabella, after Edward’s mother who had passed away a few months earlier.
They were now a family of three and although they were all still worried about the baby’s health, they were determined to make sure she had a happy life. Bella and Edward were more in love than ever before and this was the happiest day of their lives.
ACT I
SCENE ONE – EDWARD AND BELLA’S WEDDING
(We open on a beautiful garden surrounded by trees and shrubs. Edward and Bella are standing in front of a priest, about to get married. They look lovingly into each other’s eyes as the priest begins.)
Priest: “We are gathered here today to join these two souls in holy matrimony. Do you, Edward, take Bella to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
Edward: “I do.”
Priest: “And do you, Bella, take Edward to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
Bella: “I do.”
(The couple exchanges their vows and kisses each other tenderly. There is a cheer from the audience as they are officially married.)
(Cut to: Bella and Edward’s honeymoon on Isle Esme. The two of them are walking on the beach, hand in hand, and the sun is setting behind them. Suddenly, Edward stops.)
Edward: “Bella, I have something to tell you.”
Bella: “What is it?”
Edward: “I didn’t want to ruin our honeymoon, but… I think you’re pregnant.”
(Bella is stunned and starts to cry. Edward holds her in his arms, trying to reassure her.)
Edward: “It’s going to be ok. We can handle this.”
(They embrace for a long time, both coming to terms with their new reality. The camera slowly pans away, and the scene ends.)
ACT II
SCENE TWO – EDWARD AND BELLA VISIT DR. CARLISLE
(We open on a clinic. Edward and Bella are walking together, holding hands. They arrive at a door with a sign that reads “Dr. Carlisle”. Edward takes a deep breath before opening the door and they enter the room. Dr. Carlisle is sitting behind his desk, looking at them with an expression of concern.)
Dr. Carlisle: “Hello, Edward and Bella. Please, take a seat.”
(They take their seats and Dr. Carlisle begins to speak.)
Dr. Carlisle: “I’m sure you’re aware of the situation. You are both displaying the signs of an accelerated pregnancy. The baby is growing at an abnormally fast rate, causing you both great discomfort.”
(Bella and Edward look at each other, unsure of what to say. Dr. Carlisle continues.)
Dr. Carlisle: “I know this is difficult to accept, but it’s important that you understand the implications of this pregnancy. The baby is immortal, and it will remain so until it comes of age. Even then, it will still carry immortality within it.”
(Edward and Bella look more and more concerned with each passing moment. They barely understand what this means, but they know it can’t be good.)
Dr. Carlisle: “I’m sure you both feel overwhelmed. It’s a lot to take in, but I want to make sure that you are both well-prepared for the coming months. I will be here to support you through every step.”
(Edward and Bella nod weakly, still in shock. The camera slowly zooms out, and the scene ends.)
