Prologue:

They follow the sound and come across a clearing where they find a group of singing princesses rehearsing.
PRINCESS HARMONY

What’s going on here?
PRINCESS HARMONY
(startled)
Oh! Hello there. We are the Royal Songbirds of Far Far Away. We were just rehearsing for the upcoming festival.
FIONA
The festival! That’s right. We’ll have to make sure we’re back in time for that.
DONKEY
Can we hear another song?
PRINCESS HARMONY
(smiling)
Of course.
The princesses begin to sing another song, but they are interrupted by the sound of clanging pots and pans.

They follow the noise and find themselves at a campsite where a group of pirates are cooking up a feast.

Shrek: “Never! We will defend the kingdom with everything we have!”
The group prepares for battle, with Arthur stepping up to prove his worthiness as the next King of Far Far Away. The battle is fierce, but they manage to defeat Prince Charming and his army.
As they catch their breath and survey the damage, Arthur looks at Shrek with newfound respect.
Arthur: “I may not have wanted to be king, but I now realize the importance of ruling with honor and bravery. I am ready to take the throne.”
Shrek and Fiona smile, knowing they have done the right thing for the kingdom. With Arthur as their new king, the group continues on their journey, ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Scene 4
FADE IN:
EXT. FAR FAR AWAY PALACE – DAY
Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots and Arthur are ready to face Prince Charming and his army of villains.
PRINCE CHARMING
(laughing)
You really think you can defeat me?
SHREK
(smiling)
We don’t have to defeat you alone.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them begins to shake. The camera pans out to reveal the fairy tale creatures they had met along their journey have arrived to help.
FAIRY GODMOTHER
(to Prince Charming)
You didn’t think we’d let you take over our kingdom, did you?
PRINCE CHARMING
(grinning)
I was hoping for a challenge.
A fierce battle ensues between Prince Charming’s army and the combined forces of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Arthur, and the fairy tale creatures.
FIONA
(to Shrek)
We can’t keep this up forever. We need a strategy.
SHREK
(nodding)
I have an idea.
Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots sneak around the back of the palace while the others keep Prince Charming and his army distracted.
SHREK
(to Donkey and Puss in Boots)
Let’s give them a surprise they’ll never forget.
The trio pulls a lever, which sends a giant floating dragon down towards Prince Charming’s army.
PRINCE CHARMING
(angrily)
You think a dragon can stop me?
Just as Prince Charming thinks he’s won, the dragon opens its mouth and breathes out a cloud of fairy tale dust.
PRINCE CHARMING
(confused)
What’s happening to me?
Prince Charming and his army begin to shrink until they are only a fraction of their size.
SHREK
(smiling)
Looks like we’ve won this battle.
FADE OUT.
Scene 5
Characters:
-Shrek (the lovable ogre who just wants to return to his swamp)
-Fiona (Shrek’s wife and partner in adventure)
-Donkey (the ever-talkative and loyal friend)
-Puss in Boots (the swashbuckling feline with a heart of gold)
-Arthur (the young heir to the throne of Far Far Away)
Setting:
The swamp where Shrek and Fiona live, and the kingdom of Far Far Away.
Dialogue:
Shrek: “I miss the quiet life, Fiona. All this excitement is making me whiny.”
Fiona: “But don’t you miss the adventure? The thrill of the unknown?”
Donkey: “Yeah, come on, Shrek! You’re the hero of Far Far Away!”
Puss in Boots: “And a hero’s work is never done, my friends.”
Arthur: “I know I’m not the most confident king, but I’ll need your help if we want to keep Far Far Away safe.”
Storyline:
Shrek and Fiona return to their swamp after helping Arthur take the throne of Far Far Away. But soon they find themselves bored with the quiet life and missing the excitement of their adventures. When they hear that Far Far Away is in danger again, they set off to help their friends and defend the kingdom. Along the way, they encounter new allies and enemies, and Shrek learns the importance of balancing his desire for peace with his duty to protect those he loves.
Shrek and Fiona settle into their routine in the swamp, but something is missing. They sit on a log by the edge of the water, watching their children play.
Shrek: “It’s just not the same without Donkey and Puss in Boots around.”
Fiona: “And the adventure. I miss it too, Shrek.”
Just then, Donkey and Puss in Boots burst out of the trees, swords drawn and ready for action.
Donkey: “We heard there was trouble in Far Far Away and we came to join the fight!”
Puss in Boots: “The thrill of battle calls to us, my friends!”
Shrek and Fiona exchange a knowing look.
Shrek: “I guess it’s time to dust off our armor and save the kingdom again.”
They gather their weapons and set off for Far Far Away, their children waving goodbye from the shore.
As they journeyed, they talked about their past adventures and how much they missed their friends. They knew that even though their desire for peace and quiet was strong, their bond with Far Far Away was stronger. And they were determined to protect it at all costs.
Scene 6
Scene 6: The Return
FADE IN:
EXT. FAR FAR AWAY – DAY
The kingdom is in chaos as Prince Charming and his army of villains have taken control. Shrek, Fiona and their children arrive in Far Far Away to help their friends.
INT. CASTLE – DAY
Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, and Arthur are gathered around a large table, studying a map of the kingdom.
SHREK
We need to come up with a plan to take back the kingdom.
DONKEY
Why don’t we just charge in there and take them down?
PUSS IN BOOTS
That’s not a good idea, Donkey. We need a strategic plan.
ARTHUR
I have an idea. We could sneak into the castle and take out the guards one by one.
FIONA
I like it. It’s risky, but it could work.
SHREK
Alright, let’s do it. Fiona, you and the kids stay back and provide support from a distance.
FIONA nods her head.
The group sets off to execute their plan.
INT. CASTLE COURT – DAY
Shrek, Donkey, Puss in Boots, and Arthur sneak past the guards and enter the castle court. They engage in a fierce battle with Prince Charming and his army.
SHREK
(to Prince Charming)
You’ll never get away with this.
PRINCE CHARMING
(smiling)
Oh, but I already have.
As they continue to fight, Fiona and the kids appear on the balcony above and launch an attack on the villains, providing a much-needed distraction for Shrek and his crew.
INT. CASTLE – DAY
Shrek and Prince Charming are locked in a one-on-one battle, while the rest of the group fights off villains.
SHREK
(panting)
You’re not going to win, Charming.
PRINCE CHARMING
(smiling menacingly)
We’ll see about that.
Just as it seems that Prince Charming has the upper hand, Fiona and the kids launch a surprise attack, taking out the remaining villains.
PRINCE CHARMING
(terrified)
No! This can’t be happening!
Shrek delivers the final blow, knocking Prince Charming unconscious.
EXT. CASTLE – DAY
The kingdom cheers as Shrek and his friends emerge victorious.
INT. CASTLE – DAY
Arthur is crowned King of Far Far Away, with Shrek and Fiona by his side.
ARTHUR
(to Shrek and Fiona)
I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.
SHREK
(smiling)
That’s what friends are for.
FADE OUT.
