Riggs and Murtaugh stood there, taking in the captain’s words. They had never thought of themselves as anything other than partners, but the captain’s words made them realize that they had something special.
“Thank you, Captain,” Riggs said finally.
The captain nodded. “You two deserve it. Now, go home and get some rest. You’ve earned it.”
As they walked away from the police station, Riggs and Murtaugh couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief. They had been through a lot together, and they knew that they could always count on each other. But, they also knew that they had to take a moment to grieve their losses and to come to terms with everything that had happened.

(shakes his head) I hope you know what you’re doing, Riggs.
RIGGS
(grinning) Trust me. This is just the beginning.

INT. DIPLOMAT’S OFFICE – DAY
The diplomat is sitting behind his desk, a smug smile on his face.
DIPLOMAT
(on the phone) Yes, everything is going according to plan. Those cops won’t know what hit them.
Suddenly, the door bursts open and Riggs storms in, gun drawn.
RIGGS
(smirk) Sorry to disappoint you, pal. But we’re not that stupid.
DIPLOMAT
(frowning) What do you want, detective?
RIGGS
(shoves evidence on the desk) We know all about your little smuggling operation. And we have evidence to prove it.
DIPLOMAT
(raising an eyebrow) And what makes you think you can touch me? I have diplomatic immunity.
RIGGS
(chuckles) Not anymore, you don’t.
Riggs pulls out a document and slams it on the desk.
RIGGS (CONT’D)
(reads) “Revocation of Diplomatic Immunity for Illegal Activities.”
DIPLOMAT
(looks at the document in shock) How did you get this?
RIGGS
(grinning) Let’s just say we had some help from your former business partner.
Suddenly, the door bursts open again and Murtaugh storms in.
MURTAUGH
(holding up handcuffs) You’re under arrest.
The diplomat glares at Riggs and Murtaugh, defeated.
DIPLOMAT
(snarling) You haven’t heard the last of me.
RIGGS
(smiles) I’m sure we haven’t.
The scene ends with Riggs and Murtaugh walking out of the office, victorious.
Scene 3

Riggs: You think he’s involved in the smuggling operation?
Murtaugh: Sure seems like it. (Suddenly, the bomb detonates, causing chaos and destruction.)
INT. MURTAUGH’S BATHROOM – DAY
Murtaugh sits on the toilet, flipping through a newspaper. Riggs stands guard outside the bathroom, his gun at the ready.
Murtaugh: Hey, Riggs! You’re not gonna believe what I just read in this newspaper.
Riggs: What’s that?
Murtaugh: Apparently, these Krugerrands we found are linked to a South African diplomat.
Riggs: You think he’s involved in the smuggling operation?
Murtaugh: Sure seems like it.
Suddenly, there’s a loud explosion, and the entire room shakes. Riggs bursts into the bathroom and finds Murtaugh lying on the ground, covered in debris.
Riggs: Murtaugh! Are you alright?
Murtaugh groans in pain, holding his stomach.
Murtaugh: That bastard…he got me.
Riggs: Don’t worry, I’ll get him.
Riggs helps Murtaugh to his feet and carries him out of the bathroom. They make their way outside, where chaos reigns. Police officers are shouting into their radios, and civilians are running for cover.
Riggs sets Murtaugh down on the ground and looks at him with concern.
Riggs: Hang in there, buddy. We’re going to catch this guy and make him pay.
Murtaugh nods weakly and closes his eyes, as Riggs scans the area for any sign of the South African diplomat.

Scene 4
Characters:
– Martin Riggs: A loose cannon detective with a traumatic past who is willing to go to any length to catch the bad guys.
– Roger Murtaugh: A veteran detective who is on the brink of retirement and is tired of the violence and dangers of the job.
– South African Diplomat: A cunning and ruthless criminal who uses his immunity to smuggle illegal goods.
– Detective Nguyen: A corrupt police officer who is in cahoots with the diplomat.
– Gang Members: A violent group of criminals who work for the diplomat.

Dialogue:

INT. RIGGS AND MURTAUGH’S CAR – DAY
Riggs and Murtaugh are chasing the diplomat’s car through the crowded streets of Los Angeles. The diplomat’s car is swerving through traffic, and Riggs is struggling to keep up.
Riggs:
“Damn, he’s good. We’re losing him!”
Murtaugh:
“Keep it steady, Riggs. He’s not getting away from us.”
The diplomat’s car suddenly swerves around a corner, and Riggs tries to follow, but their car skids and crashes into a parked car.
Riggs:
“Son of a bitch! We’re going on foot.”
Murtaugh:
“Let’s get him.”
Riggs and Murtaugh jump out of the car and start to run after the diplomat, who is now on foot. They chase him through alleyways and backstreets, but he keeps getting away.
Riggs:
“Come on, Murtaugh! We’ve got to catch him!”
Murtaugh:
“I’m right behind you, Riggs!”
As they turn another corner, they are suddenly confronted by a group of gang members, led by a notorious criminal known as the “Gang Leader.”
Gang Leader:
“Well, well, well. Look what we’ve got here. A couple of pigs chasing a fox.”
Riggs:
“Get out of our way, scumbags! We’re not here to play games.”
Gang Leader:
“Oh, I think you are. You see, we’re working for the diplomat now. He pays us well to keep nosy cops like you from getting in his way.”
Murtaugh:
“You’re making a big mistake, son. We’re not going to let you stop us.”
The gang members pull out their guns, and a fierce gun battle ensues. Riggs and Murtaugh are outnumbered, but they are skilled fighters, and they manage to take down several of the gang members.
Riggs:
“Is that all you’ve got, bitches?”
Gang Leader:
“You’ll regret this, cops. The diplomat won’t let you get away with this.”
With the gang members defeated, Riggs and Murtaugh continue their chase, but they realize that the diplomat is long gone.
Murtaugh:
“He got away, Riggs. We’re never going to catch him now.”
Riggs:
“Don’t give up yet, Murtaugh. I’ve got a plan.”
Scene 5
FADE IN:
EXT. A DARK AND SEEDY ALLEY – NIGHT
Riggs and Murtaugh are leaning against a wall, chain-smoking and looking exhausted.
RIGGS
This case is a real headache, huh?
MURTAUGH
You’re telling me. I never thought I’d see so much corruption in one place.
RIGGS
And to think it all started with a trunk full of Krugerrands.
MURTAUGH
We’ve been through a lot together over the years, Riggs. But this one might be our toughest yet.
RIGGS
I know. But we can’t give up now. We’re too close to the truth.
MURTAUGH
What’s our next move?
RIGGS
I think we need to go deeper into the underworld, find out who’s really pulling the strings.
MURTAUGH
And how do we do that?
Riggs pulls out a small notebook and flips through the pages.
RIGGS
I’ve been keeping track of all the names and connections we’ve come across. There’s one guy who keeps popping up – a notorious criminal named Carlos.
MURTAUGH
I’ve heard of him. He’s dangerous. But if he’s involved, we need to bring him down.
RIGGS
Exactly. And I think I have an idea of how to do it.
MURTAUGH
(laughs) I have a feeling it involves breaking a few rules.
RIGGS
(smiling) Oh, you know me too well.
MURTAUGH
(puts out cigarette) Alright, let’s do this. But let’s be careful. We don’t want to end up like that bomb under my toilet.
They both laugh, and the camera fades to black.
