Prologue
When Samantha and John first met, love took over their lives in an instant. Seeing their friends start families of their own made them want to do the same, and after much consideration, they decided to pursue adoption from the foster care system. They thought they had done all the research, filled out all the paperwork and spoke to all the necessary people…little did they know, their lives would change permanently.

Samantha and John both knew that adoption would be an arduous process. Numerous meetings and paperwork lay ahead of them, but their desire to become parents was a driving force to keep going. After months of preparing, they were finally matched with three siblings from the system. The first meeting was overwhelming, and it was clear that the three brothers needed a lot of love and attention.
When they returned home with the kids, they soon realized that they were in over their heads. These were kids that hadn’t been given the same startup as other children, and they were going to need all the support they could get.

The troubles that Samantha and John faced only grew in their first weeks as foster parents. The boys were full of energy, unruly and at times, out of control. They were constantly fighting and pushing each other, and the rules they were given were readily ignored.
It seemed that no matter how hard they tried, Samantha and John couldn’t seem to make any progress. When it seemed like nothing would ever get better, John had an idea. He suggested getting the boys involved in a recreational sports league, thinking that it was the best way to help them get back on track.

At first, the boys were hesitant about joining a sports league. But after attending their first practice, their attitudes began to change. With their coach’s encouragement, the boys began to practice and play together as a team. It was like a whole new world for them, and soon they were participating in practices, games and even charity events.
The boys began to develop a sense of teamwork and camaraderie with their teammates, which was an amazing thing to see. As they grew in confidence, their attitudes began to change, and they were finally starting to look and act like kids again.

Through their involvement in the sports league, the boys realized how much they had been missing out on. They were having a great time and were even able to make new friends. Samantha and John were thrilled to see them blossom and finally begin to open up.
Though their journey hadn’t been easy, Samantha and John were beginning to realize that maybe, just maybe, it had been worth it after all. They still had a long way to go, but as long as their foster sons kept progressing, they were confident that things would only get better from here.
Samantha and John had to put in a tremendous amount of work to get their foster sons to where they were today. Through long nights of studying, countless hours on the playing field, and a lot of hard-earned trust, they had managed to turn a difficult situation into something positive.
The boys continued to progress with each new day, and although some tough times still presented themselves, it was now nothing that Samantha and John couldn’t handle. They were a strong, loving family, and with the help of the sport league, their foster sons were finally able to blossom.
One day, after a particularly triumphant victory, the boys ran over to Samantha and John, cheering. They were a family now, through and through, and without a doubt, the joy of being together was irreplaceable.

EXT. DAY. PARK – DAY
The sun is shining, and the sky is bright blue. Kids are playing on the playground, laughing and running around.
John and Samantha stand off to the side, watching the kids with smiles on their faces.

Yes, it is.
The camera pans away to show three boys – the brothers – playing tag together.

Me neither.

We never thought we could do this. But here we are, happy and loved.

EXT. DAY. BASEBALL FIELD – DAY
The sun is shining and the sky is a clear blue again. Samantha and John are standing on the sidelines of the baseball field, watching their foster sons play in their first game. They cheer and encourage the boys from the sidelines.
The camera pans to show the boys playing together as a team. They are working together and supporting each other.
John (V.O.)
That moment, watching them play as a team… it was incredible. We knew we had made the right decision.
The boys hit a home run, and the crowd cheers in delight. Samantha and John exchange a proud look and a hug.
Samantha
(teary-eyed)
I’m so proud of them.
John
Me too.
The camera zooms in on the boys’ faces, showing their joy and excitement.
FADE OUT.
EXT. DAY. PARK – DAY
It is a bright, sunny day and the sky is a brilliant blue. Samantha, John and their foster sons are in the park, playing games and having fun. The boys laugh and run around, full of energy.
John and Samantha are smiling as they watch.
John (V.O.)
It was like a dream come true. Everything we had worked so hard for was finally paying off, and the boys were happier than ever.
The camera pans to show the boys playing together, helping each other and having a great time.
John (V.O.)
They were a family now, and it was the best feeling in the world.
Samantha and John exchange a loving look and a smile.

EXT. DAY. SCHOOL – DAY
The sun is shining and the sky is a bright blue. Samantha and John are on the school grounds, watching their foster sons receive their awards.
The boys are on the podium, proudly showing off their awards for academic excellence. Everybody claps and cheers for them.
John (V.O.)
It was so rewarding to see them reach their goals. Months of hard work had finally paid off.
John and Samantha exchange a proud look and a hug from the sidelines.

(teary-eyed)
I’m so proud of them.
John

The camera pans out to show the boys surrounded by their friends, smiling and laughing.
