Prologue:

In a world of science and experimentation, there lived an inventor, one who was constantly tinkering with the limits of human creation. One day, he had a vision, an idea that would change his life and the world forever. He was determined to create the ultimate creation, one that could do things that no other being could do. He worked tirelessly for years, pouring his heart and soul into his creation, until one day, he finally succeeded. He gave life to the most unique and extraordinary creation, a being with scissors for hands.

The inventor named his creation Edward, and he quickly became fascinated with the world around him. He learned how to create beauty with his unique hands, making intricate and stunning sculptures that left the inventor in awe. However, something wasn’t quite right with Edward. Although he was intelligent, kind, and artistic, he had no understanding of human emotion or social interaction. As a result, he spent his days in the inventor’s secluded castle, yearning for a life and connections with the world beyond his limited perception.

Chapter 1: The Arrival in Suburbia

It had been years since Edward was created, and he had spent his life in isolation, yearning for a place in a world that he could never fully understand. One day, he stumbled upon a small suburban town, and his life would never be the same again. Edward was exhausted, hungry, and thirsty, having lost his way on his journey out of the castle. However, fate had other plans. He stumbled upon the house of the Boggs family, who took him in, much to the shock and disbelief of their neighbours.

Peg Boggs was a kind and friendly lady, who took one look at Edward and offered him a home. Edward was hesitant at first, scared to interact with a family that he knew nothing about. But as Peg introduced Edward to her family and the community, he slowly began to open up and understand human connection. The Boggs family was a loving one, and they welcomed him with open arms.

Edward was fascinated with the world outside the castle walls, from the colours of nature to the interactions between people. The Boggs family showed him love and care, teaching him about the world outside his limited perception. Slowly but surely, he began to come out of his shell, and the community warmed up to him, amazed by his unique talent with the scissors.

At first, things were going well in this new world that Edward had discovered, he was happy, loved and felt a new sense of belonging. But the townspeople, who were initially fascinated by Edward’s talent, were slowly becoming wary of a creature they saw as different and strange. They began to gossip behind his back and expressed their discomfort towards him. Edward, who was used to being ostracized, started to feel like he was back in the castle, alone and isolated.

One day, things took a turn for the worse. The town held an annual ice sculpture competition, and Edward was asked to create a masterpiece. He crafted a stunning sculpture of the town’s founder, which captured the heart of everyone who saw it. But, the jock of the town, Jim, was jealous of the attention and admiration that Edward was receiving from the community. In a fit of rage, Jim deliberately destroyed Edward’s sculpture, causing chaos and anger to erupt in the town.

Edward, being the outcast that he was, was blamed for the destruction, and the townspeople turned on him, angry and ready to attack. Fearing for his life, Edward fled back to the castle, leaving behind the only life that he’s ever known.

As Edward sat alone in the castle, his mind racing with memories of his time in the town, he realized that he had started to feel something that he had never experienced before – love. He had fallen in love with Kim, the daughter of the Boggs family, but their love was forbidden, as she was engaged to Jim. Edward was heartbroken, knowing that the curse of his creation would never allow him to feel love or be loved by anyone.

What will become of Edward now that he has lost everything he’s ever known? How will he face the curse of his creation? And can he ever find the love that he so desperately desires?

Chapter 2: The Art of Scissors

Edward Scissorhands had never experienced the warmth and kindness of a loving family before. The family that had taken him in treated him like one of their own, and he felt grateful for their acceptance. However, he still felt like an outsider in the suburban town, where everyone had a routine and a sense of belonging.

One day, as he was wandering the streets, he came across a hair salon. He peeked through the window and was mesmerized by the hairdresser’s skilled hands as she cut and styled a customer’s hair. He was fascinated by the art of hair cutting and longed to learn more about it.

The next day, he went inside the salon and introduced himself to the hairdresser, whose name was Sarah. She was surprised to see him but welcomed him warmly, sensing that he was a kind-hearted soul. She noticed his unusual hands and was impressed by his ability to groom hair with ease, despite his scissorhands.

Sarah took Edward under her wing and taught him everything she knew about hair cutting. She showed him different techniques, styles, and trends, and Edward quickly became a natural. He was able to create intricate hairstyles and designs with his scissorhands, which amazed Sarah and her clients.

Word soon got out about Edward’s unique talent, and people started to flock to the salon to get their hair cut by him. They were amazed by his creations and appreciated his attention to detail. Edward became quite popular, and his work was soon in demand all over the town.

As Edward’s reputation grew, so did his confidence. He started to come out of his shell and interact more with the people of the community. He began to feel like he finally belonged somewhere, and the love and admiration he received from the townspeople gave him a sense of purpose.

Sarah noticed a change in Edward’s demeanor and was proud of the progress he had made. She realized that he was more than just a science experiment. He was an artist, with a unique talent that had the power to bring joy and beauty into people’s lives.

One day, Sarah entered Edward into the town’s annual hairdressing competition, where he was up against some of the best stylists in the area. Edward was nervous, but Sarah believed in him, and he was determined to make her proud.

On the day of the competition, Edward created a hairstyle that was unlike anything anyone had ever seen before. He incorporated delicate flowers into the style, using his scissorhands to create intricate patterns and designs. The hairstyle was a masterpiece, and the judges were blown away. They declared Edward the winner of the competition, and he was celebrated by the whole town.

Edward had finally found something that he was good at, and he felt fulfilled. He knew that he had a talent that was special and unique, something that nobody else possessed. He had found his place in the world, and he was grateful to Sarah and the people of the town for accepting him for who he was.

As Edward walked home that day, he took in the beauty of the town, appreciating the architecture, the gardens, and the people. He felt like he had finally found a home, a place where he belonged. And he knew that he had his scissorhands and his talent to thank for that.

Chapter Three: The Ice Dance

The anticipation of the annual ice sculpture competition in the suburban town was palpable. Edward had never seen anything like it before. The entire town was transformed into a winter wonderland, with ice sculptures lining the streets and families out and about, enjoying the festivities. Edward had been tasked with creating a masterpiece for the competition and he had something special in mind.

The morning of the competition, Edward got up early and headed out to the town square, where his block of ice had been placed the night before. He began working on his sculpture, his scissorhands expertly carving out the figure of the town’s founder, who had long been forgotten. Despite the cold, Edward worked tirelessly, his focus never wavering.

As the day wore on, more and more people began to gather around Edward’s sculpture. The intricate details of the founder’s face and clothing, as well as the intricate patterns that adorned the base of the sculpture, were unlike anything they had ever seen before. The whispers and murmurs of awe that surrounded Edward were music to his ears.

As the sun began to set, the sculptures were lit up with colorful lights, giving them an ethereal glow. Edward’s sculpture, with its intricate details and sharp lines, caught the light in a way that made it look as though it was alive. People marveled at it, snapping pictures and admiring the beauty of it all.

As the judges made their way around the square, Edward waited anxiously for their verdict. He had put everything he had into this sculpture, and he desperately wanted to win. The tension was palpable as the judges stopped in front of Edward’s sculpture. They took a few moments to examine it, and then, to Edward’s surprise, they moved on.

Edward watched as the judges made their way through the rest of the sculptures, his heart sinking with each passing moment. Finally, the judges announced the winner of the competition, and it was not Edward. His heart felt heavy as he made his way back to the family’s home where he was staying.

That night, as he lay in bed, he couldn’t help but feel like a failure. He had put everything he had into that sculpture, and yet, it wasn’t enough. He wondered if he would ever truly fit in with the people of this town, if they would ever see him as anything other than a freak.

The next morning, Edward was surprised to find that the town had placed a plaque next to his sculpture, honoring his skill and creativity. The plaque read, “For Edward, who brought beauty and magic into our lives.” Edward couldn’t believe it. Despite not winning the competition, the people of the town had seen and appreciated his talent.

As he walked through the town, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of belonging. The people still looked at him with curiosity, but now, there was also a sense of respect and admiration. Edward realized that he had created something special, and that he had something to offer the world.

That night, as he lay in bed, he heard a knock on his door. It was the daughter of the family he was staying with. She had come to tell him how much she admired his sculpture and how she had voted for him to win. As they talked, Edward couldn’t help but feel a flutter in his chest. It was a feeling he had never felt before, and he wasn’t quite sure what to make of it.

But for that moment, he was content to just enjoy the company of someone who didn’t judge him, someone who appreciated him for who he was. And it was in that moment that Edward began to realize that maybe, just maybe, he didn’t need to fit in with the people of this town. Maybe, he just needed to be himself, and that was enough.

Chapter 4: Forbidden Love

Edward had never experienced such intense feelings before. He had fallen in love with Kim, the daughter of the kind family who had taken him in. But as he watched her with her fiancé, Jim, he knew that his love was forbidden. Kim had been promised to Jim, the town’s popular jock, who was far from kind to Edward.

One day, Edward was in the garden, lost in thought, when Kim found him. “Hey, Edward,” she said softly. “You okay?”

Edward looked at her, his heart racing. “Yes, Kim. I’m okay. I was just thinking.”

Kim walked up to him and took his hand. “Come with me, I want to show you something.”

They walked through the garden, which was lush and green, with flowers of every color. Edward had created it all himself, using his unique scissorhands to sculpt the plants into beautiful, intricate designs.

Kim led Edward to a secluded corner of the garden, where they sat down together. “Edward,” Kim said, looking into his eyes, “I need to tell you something.”

Edward’s heart skipped a beat. He knew what was coming, but he wasn’t ready to hear it.

“Jim and I are engaged,” Kim said, her voice shaking a little. “But things aren’t right between us. I don’t love him the way I should. I… I think I might be falling in love with you.”

Edward couldn’t believe his ears. Kim loved him too? It was too good to be true.

But just as quickly as the hope had filled him, it was replaced by fear. What would happen if they were found out? What if he ruined the only chance he had at happiness?

“I… I’m not sure, Kim,” he stammered, looking down at his scissorhands.

“I know it’s complicated,” Kim said, taking his hand. “But I want to be with you, Edward. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.”

Edward felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe they could be together, despite their differences. But as they sat there, lost in their thoughts, they didn’t notice Jim and his friends approaching.

“Well, well, well,” Jim sneered, looking down at them. “What do we have here?”

Kim stood up, her hand still in Edward’s. “Jim, please, just leave us alone.”

But Jim didn’t listen. “You’re really something, Edwards,” he sneered. “Stealing my girl right in front of me? That takes guts.”

Edward’s heart sank. He hadn’t meant to cause trouble. He just loved Kim.

But Jim wasn’t going to let it go. “You know what I think? I think you’re up to no good. Who knows what kind of things you do with those scissorhands of yours.”

And with that, Jim and his friends lunged at Edward, trying to wrestle him to the ground.

Edward fought back, using his scissorhands to defend himself, but he was outnumbered. They quickly overpowered him and left him lying on the ground, bruised and battered.

Kim ran to his side, tears streaming down her face. “Edward, are you okay?”

Edward looked up at her, his heart breaking. This was all his fault. If he hadn’t fallen in love with Kim, this never would have happened.

“I’m fine, Kim,” he said softly. “But… we can’t be together. You’re engaged to Jim, and… I don’t think I could handle what comes with being in love.”

Kim looked at him, tears still streaming down her face. “I love you, Edward. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. I want to be with you.”

Edward took a deep breath. He wanted to be with Kim too, more than anything. But he knew that their love was forbidden. It was too dangerous.

“Kim,” he said softly, taking her hand. “We can’t. It’s too dangerous. I… I don’t want to lose you.”

Kim looked at him, her eyes searching his. “Edward, I love you. I can’t stand the thought of not being with you.”

Edward knew that they needed to talk, to figure out what they were going to do. But for now, he just held her hand, feeling her warmth against his skin.

For a moment, everything was okay. They were together, and nothing else mattered. But outside of their little bubble, the town was starting to suspect that something was going on between them. And that suspicion would soon turn into something more dangerous.

Chapter 5: Gossip and Betrayal

The town’s gossip queen, Mrs. Smith, had been eavesdropping on the daughter’s conversation with Edward. She had heard them confessing their love for each other. Mrs. Smith couldn’t resist the urge to spread the news around the town.

Soon, everyone in the town was talking about the supposed love affair between Edward and the daughter. The news reached the daughter’s fiancé, who was the captain of the football team, and he was furious.

He confronted the daughter, accusing her of cheating on him with the freak. The daughter tried to explain that she was in love with Edward, but her fiancé didn’t believe her. He stormed off, leaving the daughter in tears.

Edward didn’t know what was happening in the town. He had been busy creating beautiful sculptures for the upcoming ice sculpture competition. The daughter came to him and told him the news. He was heartbroken, knowing that their love was seen as a taboo.

As Edward walked through the town, he could feel the stares and whispers of the townspeople. It was as if a dark cloud had descended over him, and everything he had worked for was shattered.

The jock, who had always been jealous of Edward’s unique talent and popularity, saw this as an opportunity to bring him down. He rallied his friends and started vandalizing Edward’s sculptures, spreading propaganda and lies about him.

The next day, Edward woke up to find his sculptures destroyed. He was devastated. He knew it was the work of the jock and his friends. But what hurt him even more was the fact that the community he had grown to love, had turned against him.

Edward’s frustration and anger grew with each passing day. He knew he hadn’t done anything wrong, but the townspeople saw him as a threat. He felt alone and helpless.

Meanwhile, the daughter’s fiancé had discovered the truth. He was not the person he appeared to be. He was a violent and abusive man who had been using the daughter to boost his own image in the town.

He tried to apologize to the daughter, but it was too late. She had realized that her feelings for Edward were real, and she couldn’t ignore them.

As the tension in the town grew, the jock and his friends decided to take things to the next level. They threatened to harm the daughter if Edward didn’t leave the town. It was a desperate attempt to rid themselves of the “freak” who had caused so much chaos in their lives.

The daughter approached Edward, telling him about the threats made by the jock and his friends. Edward knew he had to protect her, even if it meant facing the wrath of the town. He made a decision that would change his life forever.

Chapter 6: The Creation’s Curse

Edward tossed and turned in his bed, restless and haunted by the dreams of the inventor. The old man appeared to him, looking stern and sad.

“Edward, my dear creation,” the inventor said, his voice echoing through the vast chamber. “I have returned to warn you of a curse that plagues you.”

“A curse, sir?” Edward asked, sitting up in his bed.

“Yes, my boy,” the inventor said, his face flickering in the dim light of the moon. “The curse of the unfinished creation. You were never meant to be complete, Edward. Your scissorhands were meant to be your downfall.”

Edward felt a chill run down his spine. He remembered all the times he had been ostracized from society, all the loneliness and heartache that he had endured.

“What does this curse mean, sir?” he asked, his voice trembling.

“It means that you can never feel love, my boy,” the inventor said, his voice heavy with emotion. “You can never know the joy of being loved or giving love. It is a curse that I have placed on you, to prevent you from feeling the pain of unfinished business.”

Edward felt a surge of anger rise within him. “But why, sir? Why would you do this to me?”

“I did it to protect you, Edward,” the inventor said, his face softening. “I knew that you were too pure-hearted to survive the cruel world outside. I wanted to keep you safe from those who would hurt you, those who would exploit you for what you are.”

Edward felt tears welling up in his eyes. “But what about my feelings, sir? Don’t they matter?”

The inventor looked at him sadly. “I’m afraid not, my boy. Your feelings are part of the curse. You can never know the happiness that comes from love, but you can still create beauty. That is your gift, Edward. Use it wisely.”

With that, the inventor disappeared, leaving Edward alone in the dark chamber. Edward lay back down, feeling lost and alone. He had always known that he was different, but now he knew the reason why.

As he lay there, he thought about the daughter of the family that had taken him in. He had fallen in love with her, but now he knew that it was all for nothing. He could never have her, could never know the happiness of being with her.

Despite his pain, Edward knew that he had to go on. He had to find a way to live with the curse, to create beauty in the world despite his inability to feel love. For the first time in his life, he felt a sense of purpose, a reason to keep going.

As the sun rose outside, Edward got out of bed and went to the window. He looked out at the world, seeing it in a new light. He knew that there would be challenges ahead, but he was ready to face them. He would use his gift to make the world a more beautiful place, even if he could never know the joy of love.

Chapter 7: The Community’s Wrath

As the news of the chaos and destruction that Edward had caused spread throughout the town, the community turned against him. Rumors and lies were spread about his intentions, and before long, a mob formed outside the family’s house where Edward had been living. The sight of an angry mob angered the family, who was still supporting Edward to the end.

Edward, who had no idea what was going on, had been in the garden, his only peaceful place, carefully pruning the roses with his delicate scissorhands. With one swipe of his hand, he could create a beautiful masterpiece in the garden. He had no idea that outside the gates of the house, the mob was growing angrier by the minute.

Suddenly, the noise became louder, and the sound of breaking glass caught his attention. Edward looked up to see the mob breaking into the house, and fear filled his eyes. His scissorhands trembled, as he didn’t know what to do. The family members tried to reason with the mob but to no avail.

The mob had now entered the garden, and the sight of Edward’s scissorhands only fueled their anger. Edward, who had been hiding behind one of the large topiary sculptures, now stood tall and confronted the angry mob. He was tired of running away from people and decided to face them head-on.

He tried to explain to them that he meant no harm, but they refused to listen. The mob became violent and started throwing rocks and bottles at him. Edward tried to defend himself, but his scissorhands proved to be a liability. He accidentally cut one of the mob members, and this only made things worse.

The mob began to charge towards Edward, who was now backed into a corner, unable to escape. The fear in his eyes was a clear indication that he knew what was about to happen. The family members, who had been trying to defuse the situation, were now cowering in fear, as the mob grew closer and closer.

The sound of police sirens in the distance was the only thing that stopped the mob from attacking Edward. The police arrived and quickly dispersed the mob from the garden. As they arrested some of the mob members, Edward was taken back to the castle by the family members.

Edward sat alone in the castle, feeling lost and alone. He couldn’t understand why the people of the town hated him so much. He was only trying to do good, to fit in, but it seemed like he would never be accepted.

The family members sat with him and tried to comfort him, but he was inconsolable. He knew that he could never go back to the town, and the thought of losing the only family he had ever known was devastating. He was lost and didn’t know what to do.

As the sun set on the castle, Edward looked out the window at the world outside, wondering what the future held for him. The curse of the creation was weighing heavily on his mind, and he wondered if he would ever be able to find love or be loved.

The events of the day had left a deep scar on Edward’s psyche, and he knew that he would never forget the fear and hatred that he had experienced. He knew that he had to do something to redeem himself in the eyes of the community, but he didn’t know how.

As Edward sat alone in the castle, contemplating his next move, the town was busy discussing the events of the day. The once peaceful suburban town was now a hotbed of anger and fear, and the future looked bleak.

Chapter 8: Redemption

Edward’s heart was heavy as he left the town behind. He felt like a failure once again, just as he had always felt when he was alone in the castle. But this time, the weight of his failure was heavier, as it involved someone he loved.

As he walked towards the castle, he could feel the scissorhands on his fingers growing heavier with each step. The memories of the inventor came flooding back to him. He remembered the day when he was created, the dreams and ambitions the inventor had for him, and how he had failed to live up to them.

Edward reached the castle gates and slowly pushed them open. He walked through the empty corridors, feeling lonely and lost. It was then that he remembered the words of the inventor, the words he had heard in his dreams. “You are not a man, Edward. You are an invention. You can create beauty, but you can’t feel love.”

The curse that had been placed on him seemed to be the reason for his failures. But as he walked through the empty hallways of the castle, he realized that he could still create beauty, even if he couldn’t feel love.

He remembered the garden that he had once created, the one that had been destroyed by the townspeople. He decided to rebuild it, to create something new, something unique. He walked towards the workshop, and there, he saw the unfinished scissorhands, the ones that the inventor had made for him.

Edward picked them up and started working on them, cutting and shaping them until they were perfect. He then started work on the garden, cutting and pruning the trees and bushes until they took on a new form. The garden was slowly taking shape, and Edward worked tirelessly, as if he had a new purpose.

Days passed, and the garden started to take on a life of its own. The trees and bushes were shaped into unique forms, and the flowers were arranged in symmetrical patterns. Edward had created a masterpiece, a garden that was unlike anything the town had ever seen.

As he sat in the garden, admiring his creation, he realized that he had finally found his purpose. He might not be able to feel love, but he could create something beautiful. And that was enough for him.

The news of Edward’s garden spread quickly throughout the town, and soon, people started to visit him at the castle. They were amazed by what he had created, and they started to see him in a new light. The anger and hatred that once filled their hearts were replaced by curiosity and wonder.

The daughter of the family that had taken him in also came to see him. She was amazed by what he had created and realized that there was more to him than what she had originally thought. She had always seen him as a freak, someone who was different from everyone else. But now, she saw something in him that she had never seen before.

As she sat next to him, she realized that she had feelings for him, feelings that she had been suppressing for a long time. She felt drawn to him, and she knew that she could never be happy with anyone else.

Edward, on the other hand, was oblivious to her feelings. He was content with his garden and didn’t want anything else. But as he looked at her, he saw something in her eyes that he had never seen before. He felt a connection, a spark, and he didn’t know what to make of it.

Days went by, and the daughter kept visiting him at the castle. She would sit with him, listen to him, and try to get him to open up. She wanted to know everything about him, to understand him.

It was then that he finally opened up to her. He talked about the inventor, about his dreams and ambitions, and how he had never been able to fulfill them. He talked about the curse that had been placed on him, and how he had always felt like a failure.

The daughter listened to everything he said, and she realized that he was more human than she had originally thought. She saw his vulnerability, his pain, and his suffering. And it was then that she knew that she loved him, curse or no curse.

Edward, too, realized that he had feelings for her. He didn’t know how to express them, but he knew that he loved her. He also knew that his love for her was forbidden, as she was engaged to the town’s popular jock.

But as they sat in the garden, surrounded by the beauty that Edward had created, they knew that their love was real. And they were willing to face any obstacle to be together.

The world outside may never accept them, but they had found solace in each other’s arms. They were happy, content, and in love. And that was all that mattered.

Chapter 8 ended with Edward and the daughter’s confession of love, with the curse still looming over their heads. But they were willing to take a chance and face it together. The garden had become a symbol of their love, a place where they could be together without any inhibitions. The stage was now set for the final showdown, where Edward would have to protect the town and his loved ones from harm.

Chapter 9: The Final Showdown

Edward Scissorhands had always been seen as an outsider in the suburban town. His unique scissorhands had brought him attention, but also suspicion and fear. The town’s popular jock, Jim, saw him as a threat to his status and was determined to get rid of him.

As the community turned against Edward, he felt lost and alone. The only thing that kept him going was his love for the daughter of the family that took him in. But their love was forbidden, and they had to keep it a secret.

One day, Jim and his friends vandalized the beautiful garden that Edward had created in memory of the inventor. They threatened the daughter’s life, leaving Edward with no choice but to come to her rescue.

Edward’s scissorhands glinted in the moonlight as he dashed towards the group of vandals. He used his skills to disarm them with ease, leaving them in shock and awe. They had never seen anything like it before.

Jim, realizing that he was losing control of the situation, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Edward. “Stay away from her or I’ll shoot!” he yelled at Edward.

But Edward was no longer afraid. He had found the courage to stand up for what he believed in, and he knew that he had to protect the woman he loved. He raised his scissorhands, ready to defend himself.

The daughter, who had been watching from a distance, ran towards Edward, throwing herself in front of him just as Jim pulled the trigger. The sound of the gun echoed through the night, and the daughter fell to the ground.

Edward’s heart raced as he saw the love of his life lying motionless on the ground. He felt a surge of anger and sadness as he realized that he might have lost her forever.

But then something strange happened. Edward felt a warmth spreading through his body, and his scissorhands began to glow. He looked at them in amazement as they transformed into normal hands.

Slowly, he knelt beside the daughter, taking her hand in his. “Please don’t leave me,” he whispered to her, tears streaming down his face.

To his surprise, the daughter opened her eyes and smiled at him. “I’m not leaving you,” she said. “I love you, Edward.”

Edward’s heart skipped a beat as he realized what had happened. The curse that had prevented him from feeling love or being loved had been broken. He held the daughter in his arms, feeling a rush of emotion that he had never experienced before.

The townspeople watched in amazement as Edward’s hands returned to normal. They realized that he wasn’t a monster, but a misunderstood hero who had the power to bring beauty and magic into their world.

The daughter and Edward returned to the castle, where they vowed to love each other forever, despite the curse. The town remembered Edward as a hero who had risked everything to protect the ones he loved.

As Edward looked out at the stars that night, he realized that he had found his place in the world. He had found love, friendship, and acceptance, and he knew that he would never be alone again.

Chapter 10: The End of an Era

The moon was high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the castle. In the distance, the soft sound of the ocean waves crashing against the shore could be heard. Edward sat by the window, staring out at the peaceful night. There was a knock on the door, and he turned to see the daughter standing there, looking radiant in her white dress.

“Edward,” she said softly, “may I come in?”

Edward nodded, and she entered the room. She walked over to him and took a seat beside him, taking his hand in hers.

“I wanted to thank you, Edward,” she said. “For everything you’ve done for me and my family. You’re a hero, and I love you for that.”

Edward stared at her, his heart beating fast in his chest. He had never heard those words before, and they sounded so sweet to his ears. He leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips, feeling a surge of emotion run through his body.

“I love you too,” he whispered, looking into her eyes.

They sat there for a while, just holding hands and staring out at the night sky. Then, the daughter turned to him, a glint of determination in her eyes.

“Edward,” she said, “I know about the curse. And I want you to know that it doesn’t matter to me. I will love you no matter what.”

Edward’s heart swelled with emotion, and he pulled her into an embrace. For the first time in his life, he felt a deep sense of belonging and love.

They spent the rest of the night talking, planning their future together. Edward showed her his garden, and she was awed by the beauty of his creations. They talked about their dreams and hopes, and Edward revealed that he had never wanted anything more than to be loved and accepted.

As the first light of dawn broke in the sky, the daughter got up to leave. Edward walked her to the door, and they exchanged a final kiss.

“I’ll be back soon,” she promised. “I can’t wait to come back to this beautiful place.”

Edward watched her leave, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. He had finally found his place in the world, and he knew that he would never be alone again.

As he walked back into his castle, he looked at his hands, the scissors glittering in the light. He realized that they were a part of him, a reminder of his past and his creator. But they were also a symbol of his uniqueness and creativity, something that made him unlike anyone else in the world.

Edward went to his workroom and picked up a piece of paper, his hands moving deftly as he started to create a new masterpiece. As he worked, he realized that he could still create beauty, even if he couldn’t feel love. And that was enough for him.

The sun had risen by the time he finished his sculpture, and he carried it out to the garden. The flowers were in full bloom, the colors bright and vivid. And in the center of it all stood his sculpture, a beautiful creation that symbolized his love for the world and the beauty that he saw in it.

Edward stood there for a moment, taking in the sight before him. He had come a long way from the isolated and misunderstood castaway that he had once been. He had found love, acceptance, and a sense of belonging. And with that, he knew that he was finally complete.

EDWARD:

(whispering)

Wow.

The elder mover, BOB, approaches Edward, holding a clipboard.

You must be the new resident from the castle. Name’s Bob.

EDWARD:

(nodding)

Edward.

BOB:

Well, Edward, welcome to suburbia.

It’s like a dream.

The daughter of the family, KIM, catches Edward staring and walks over to him.

KIM:

(smiling)

Hi, I’m Kim. Welcome to the neighborhood!

EDWARD:

(nervously)

Uh, hi. I’m Edward.

KIM:

(noticing his scissorhands)

Wow, those are… unique.

EDWARD:

(embarrassed)

Yeah, they’re kinda part of me.

KIM:

(amused)

Well, I think they’re cool. You should come to the barbecue. My dad will be thrilled to meet you.

EDWARD:

(surprised)

Really?

KIM:

(smiling)

Of course! Come on!

Edward looks around, unsure if he should accept the invitation.

KIM:

(putting her hand on Edward’s arm)

What’s wrong?

EDWARD:

(sighing)

It’s just… I’m not sure if I’ll fit in.

KIM:

(assuringly)

Don’t worry about that. You’re different, but that’s what makes you special.

Edward nods and follows Kim towards the barbecue, as the camera pans out to show the town below.

No, I haven’t.

Well, let me show you. You have a natural talent with those scissorhands.

Kate, I know it’s forbidden, but I can’t help the way I feel about you.
