JACK follows MARCEL to a back room where LUCILE is busy packaging up some meat. She looks up, surprised to see Jack.
LUCILE: (smiling) Hello there.
JACK: (charmingly) Hi. I’m Jack. And you must be Lucile.
LUCILE blushes, looking away from him.
MARCEL: (clears his throat) You didn’t come back here to flirt with my daughter, did you?
JACK: (smiling) No, of course not. I was just curious about the special cuts you offer.
MARCEL: (nodding) We only give those to our most loyal customers. And those who we do business with.
JACK: (trying to sound serious) Well, I’d like to be one of those customers.
MARCEL looks him over before nodding.
MARCEL: (to Lucile) Give him a taste.
Lucile hesitates before slicing off a small piece of meat and handing it to Jack. He takes a bite, savoring the taste.
JACK: (excitedly) This is amazing. What’s in it?
LUCILE: (shrugs) I don’t know. It’s a secret recipe.
MARCEL: (gruffly) And it’s none of your business.
JACK: (trying to play it cool) Of course, of course. I just appreciate good food.
MARCEL: (nodding) You’d do well to remember that.
JACK nods, knowing that he’s found something special. As he leaves the shop, he can’t help but think about Lucile and the mysterious meat. He knows that there’s more to the story than Marcel is letting on.

Scene 3
INT. BUTCHER SHOP – DAY
The residents of the apartment above the butcher shop anxiously await their next delivery of meat. Suddenly, a stranger walks into the shop, catching their attention. His name is MAX, an enigmatic figure with a sly smile on his face.
MAX: (to the butcher) I hear you’ve got something special to offer.
BUTCHER: (guardedly) What makes you say that?
MAX: Let’s just say, I know a good thing when I smell it.
The butcher eyes him suspiciously, but Max’s charm seems to win him over. He leads Max to a back room, where he reveals his stash of rare meat cuts.
MAX: (eyes widening) This is quite the collection you’ve got here. I’ve got a proposal for you.
But before Max can finish his sentence, the butcher’s daughter, JULIE, bursts into the room.
JULIE: (defiantly) Dad, what are you doing? You know we can’t trust outsiders.
But the butcher ignores her, intrigued by Max’s offer.
MAX: (to the butcher) I want to make a deal. I’ll pay you double the going rate for your meat, in exchange for one small favor.
But what is this favor? And why does Max seem so interested in the residents of the apartment? The tension in the room is palpable as the scene ends on a cliffhanger.
Scene 4

– Julie, the fiery young daughter of the butcher.
– Mr. Smith, Julie’s father and the owner of the butcher shop.
– The Stranger, a mysterious figure who has been hanging around town.

Scene 4: A Plan is Hatched
FADE IN:
INT. BUTCHER SHOP – DAY
Julie and Jack stand behind the counter, looking at the piles of meat. Mr. Smith is in the back room, counting money.
JULIE: “We have to get out of here. My father won’t let us be together.”
JACK: “I know. But how are we going to do it?”
JULIE: “I have an idea. There’s a train that passes through town every night. We could hop on it and get as far away as possible.”
JACK: “And what about your father? He won’t just let us leave.”
JULIE: “Don’t worry about him. I’ll take care of it.”
Suddenly, The Stranger enters the shop.
STRANGER: “I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation.”
JULIE: “Who are you? What do you want?”
STRANGER: “I have a proposition for you. I can get you out of town, but you have to do something for me first.”
JACK: “What kind of something?”
STRANGER: “Let’s just say I have a score to settle with your father, Julie. And I need your help to do it.”
Julie hesitates, but Jack takes charge.
JACK: “We’ll do it. Just get us out of here.”
STRANGER: “Meet me at the train station at midnight. And come alone.”
The Stranger exits the shop. Julie and Jack exchange a worried look.
JULIE: “What have we gotten ourselves into?”
JACK: “I don’t know. But we have to see this through.”
FADE OUT.
Scene 5
INT. BUTCHER SHOP – DAY
The Butcher’s Daughter, MARI, is in the back of the shop, cleaning up. The door opens and in walks Mari’s father, THE BUTCHER, carrying a large slab of meat.
THE BUTCHER: (to Mari) What’s going on between you and that boy?
Mari drops the rag she’s holding and turns to face her father, her eyes narrowing defensively.
MARI: (defensively) Nothing. We’re just friends.
The Butcher sets down the meat and crosses his arms.
THE BUTCHER: (suspiciously) He seems like a nice enough boy, but I don’t want you getting any ideas.
MARI: (angrily) What ideas? We’re just hanging out. It’s not like we’re doing anything wrong.
The Butcher moves closer to Mari, his voice low and dangerous.
THE BUTCHER: (warningly) You’re a young woman now, Mari. You need to be careful who you associate with. Just remember, you’ve got a family to think of, and we’ve got a business to run.
Mari stands her ground, her expression defiant.
MARI: (firmly) I can take care of myself, Dad. And I don’t need you getting involved in my personal life.
The Butcher narrows his eyes and steps closer to Mari, raising a finger pointedly.
THE BUTCHER: (angrily) Remember who you’re talking to, young lady. I’m still your father, and I won’t have you disrespecting me like that.
Mari’s eyes flash with anger as she squares her shoulders.
MARI: (defiantly) I’m not disrespecting you, Dad. I’m just telling it like it is. I’m not a child anymore, and I won’t be treated like one.
The Butcher stares at Mari for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Finally, he nods once, curtly.
THE BUTCHER: (coldly) Fine. But just remember, I’m watching you. And don’t forget who’s in charge around here.
As he turns to leave, Mari can’t help but feel a twinge of fear. She knows her father’s temper all too well, and she wonders what he’ll do if he finds out about her plan to run away with the young man she’s fallen in love with.
Scene 6
INT. BUTCHER SHOP – DAY
The young couple, JULIEN and LUCIE, make their way through the crowded market, dodging vendors and shoppers alike. They glance nervously over their shoulders, afraid they’ll be caught at any moment.
Julien: “We have to keep moving. They’ll be looking for us.”
Lucie: “I know. But where can we go?”
Julien: “There’s an abandoned factory on the edge of town. We can hide out there until things quiet down.”
Lucie nods, and they hurry through the streets, trying to stay inconspicuous. As they pass an alley, they hear a strange noise coming from within.
Julien: “What was that?”
Lucie: “I don’t know. Let’s keep going.”
But Julien can’t resist the urge to investigate. He creeps toward the alley, peering into the darkness.
Julien: “Hello? Is anyone there?”
Suddenly, a figure lunges at him from the shadows. Julien fights back, his fists flying. But he’s no match for his attacker, who quickly gains the upper hand.
Lucie rushes to his aid, grabbing a nearby pipe and swinging it at the figure’s head. They manage to knock the attacker unconscious, but not before he reveals a shocking truth.
Attacker: “You can’t escape. The butcher will find you, no matter where you go.”
Julien and Lucie exchange a worried glance. The butcher’s reach is farther than they thought.
Julien: “We have to get out of here. Now.”
Lucie nods, and they drag the unconscious attacker into the shadows. As they flee, their thoughts turn to the mysterious stranger who seems to be pulling all the strings. Will they ever be truly free from his grasp?
Scene 7
FADE IN:
EXT. A NEW WORLD – DAY
The sun is shining brightly as the young couple, JOE and JULIET, walk hand in hand through the lush, green landscape of their new world. They look happy and carefree, with a sense of excitement and anticipation in their eyes.
JULIET:
I never thought we’d be able to escape like this. It feels like a dream come true.
JOE:
(smiling)
It’s real, Juliet. We did it.
As they continue walking, they notice a figure in the distance.
JOE:
(whispering)
Juliet, look.
They stop in their tracks as the figure approaches. It’s the mysterious stranger they met back in town.
MYSTERIOUS STRANGER:
(smiling)
Hello, Joe and Juliet. I’ve been looking for you.
JOE:
(suspiciously)
What do you want?
MYSTERIOUS STRANGER:
I have a proposal for you. Something that could change your lives forever.
JULIET:
(cautiously)
What kind of proposal?
MYSTERIOUS STRANGER:
I have a ship that can take you to the stars. All I ask is that you help me with a small task in return.
JOE:
(skeptically)
What kind of task?
MYSTERIOUS STRANGER:
I need you to retrieve a powerful artifact from a planet in another galaxy. It’s a dangerous mission, but I believe you’re up to the challenge.
JULIET:
(looking at Joe)
What do you think?
JOE:
(resolutely)
Let’s do it.
MYSTERIOUS STRANGER:
(smiling)
Excellent. The ship is waiting for us. Let’s go.
The trio heads off into the distance, ready for their next adventure.
