JULIO
It’s Manuel, our rich friend.
Manuel pulls up beside them in his fancy sports car. The boys wave at each other.
MANUEL
Hey, guys. Where are you off to?
TENOCH
Nowhere special. Just enjoying the sun.
MANUEL
Well, I’m heading to my cousin’s wedding at this beach town. You guys should come with me.
JULIO
(whispering to Tenoch)
We don’t have to tell our parents.
TENOCH
(to Manuel)
Sounds good. We’re in.
MANUEL
Great. Follow me.
The boys follow Manuel’s car and soon arrive at a beautiful and secluded beach town. They see MANUEL’s cousin, LUISA, standing on the beach alone.
JULIO
(to Tenoch)
She’s gorgeous.
TENOCH
(laughs)
Yeah, but she’s way out of our league.
Luisa greets them warmly, intrigued by their youthful energy.

So, what brings you boys to this beach town?
JULIO
Manuel invited us to his cousin’s wedding.

But we decided to take a detour and enjoy the sun.

Well, why don’t you boys join me for a drink at my beach house? Some of my friends are coming over later, and it’ll be a nice change of pace.

“Guys, let’s not argue. We’re here to have fun, remember?”

Julio, Tenoch, and Luisa sit around the table, drinks in hand. The air is thick with tension, each of them awaiting the other to speak first.
LUISA: (breaking the silence) I have something to admit.
TENCOH: (nervously) What is it?
LUISA: (takes a deep breath) I’m married.
Julio and Tenoch exchange a surprised glance.
JULIO: Married?
LUISA: Yes. But my husband and I have an open marriage.
TENCOH: (processing the information) So, you’re not cheating on him?
LUISA: No, but I do feel guilty for being here with you two. It’s complicated.
