INT. SCIENTIST’S OFFICE – DAY

INT. LABORATORY – NIGHT
The scientists are analyzing the data from Jacques’ dive. They’ve never seen anything like it before.
DR. CARTER
(to the team)
This could revolutionize the way we think about marine biology.
Suddenly, the alarms go off.
INT. LABORATORY – NIGHT
The scientists rush to the tank, where Jacques is floating unconscious. Dr. Carter and her team work frantically to revive him.
INT. SCIENTIST’S OFFICE – DAY
Jacques is sitting with Dr. Carter, who tells him that his body cannot handle the strain of the experiments anymore.
DR. CARTER
Jacques, I’m sorry but we can’t continue this study. It’s too dangerous.
JACQUES
(disappointed)
But what about my ability? Can’t we explore it more?
DR. CARTER
(pensive)
I understand your curiosity, but your safety comes first. We’ll keep in touch, and maybe in the future, we’ll find a way to explore your ability further.
Jacques nods, understandingly.

Scene 4
INT. DIVE COMPETITION – DAY
Jacques is getting ready to dive. He checks his equipment, takes a deep breath, and plunges into the water. He descends deeper and deeper, his heart rate and breathing slowing down, becoming more like a dolphin’s. He sees Enzo far below him, and he knows that he has to push himself harder if he wants to win this competition.
Suddenly, something catches his eye. He turns and sees Johana standing at the edge of the boat, watching him intently. He feels a jolt of electricity run through his body as he realizes how much he cares for her.
Cut to:
INT. BOAT – DAY
Johana watches Jacques in amazement as he dives deeper and deeper. She can hardly believe what she’s seeing, and she realizes that she’s never felt this way about anyone before.
ENZO (O.C.): Hey, Johana!
Johana turns and sees Enzo standing beside her.
ENZO: You look like you’re lost in thought.
Johana smiles as she watches Jacques continue his dive.
JOHANA: I am. I’ve never seen anything like this before.
ENZO: He’s pretty amazing, isn’t he?
JOHANA: Yes, he is.
Enzo looks at Johana and realizes that she’s in love with Jacques. He smiles and decides to step back, knowing that Jacques is the one for her.
Cut to:
INT. DIVE COMPETITION – DAY
Jacques reaches his limit and starts to swim back up to the surface. As he breaks through the water, he sees Johana waiting for him.
JOHANA: (smiling) You did it! You won the competition!
Jacques smiles and reaches out to embrace her. They kiss, and Jacques feels like he’s found the missing piece of his life.

Scene 5
INT. BEACHSIDE BAR – DAY
Jacques sits at the bar, staring down at his drink. He’s lost in thought, and it’s clear that something is troubling him.
Enter JOHANA, who sits down next to him.
JOHANA
Hey, what’s on your mind?
JACQUES
(sighing)
I don’t know if I can do this. I don’t know if I can choose between you and the ocean.
JOHANA
(smiling)
You don’t have to choose. You can have both.
JACQUES
(defeated)
But I can’t. Not really. I can’t spend my whole life wondering if I made the right choice.
JOHANA
(pause)
Well, what if I told you that you don’t have to choose?
Jacques looks at her, confused.
JOHANA (CONT’D)
I’m an insurance investigator, Jacques. I’ve seen enough accidents and tragedies to know that life is too short to spend it wondering about what-ifs.
Jacques takes a moment to consider her words.
JACQUES
You’re right. You’re absolutely right.
JOHANA
(smiling)
I know I am. And I have an idea, if you’re willing to hear me out.
Jacques nods, intrigued.
JOHANA (CONT’D)
What if we start a business together, a diving school? You can teach people how to free dive, and I can handle the business side of things. That way, you can continue doing what you love, and we can build a life together.
Jacques looks at her, smiling.
JACQUES
I love that idea.
JOHANA
(smiling)
Good. Because I love you, Jacques. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
Jacques takes her hand.
JACQUES
I love you too, Johana.
They share a kiss as the camera pans out, the beautiful ocean in the background.
