We are here to teach you how to fight evil.”
Bruce was wary of these strange men, but something inside him was strangely drawn to them. He felt an unexplainable connection to them, as if his destiny was tied to theirs. Little did Bruce know that they were training him to become a great warrior and protector of justice.
Chapter 2: Face of Fear
For the first time in his life, Bruce Wayne was learning the skills of martial arts and fighting evil. He had never been so physically challenged before, and he found himself pushing his body and his mind to the limits.

EXT. GOTHAM SKYLINE – NIGHT
The skyline of Gotham is illuminated by the light of the moon. A few buildings stand tall, their shadows stretching over the city, while the rest of the buildings are shrouded in darkness.
EXT. WAYNE MANSION – NIGHT
The mansion stands in stark contrast to the rest of the city, as it is illuminated by a single light on the front porch. The silhouette of Bruce Wayne stands atop the balcony, his arms crossed and his face expressionless.
EXT. ALLEYWAY – NIGHT
Two figures stand in the shadows of an alleyway in the heart of the city. They are both dressed in black and their faces are hidden by masks.
EXT. WAYNE MANSION – NIGHT
The figures creep toward the mansion, making their way silently and quickly. They stop and observe the house for a moment before continuing on.
EXT. WAYNE MANSION BALCONY – NIGHT
The two figures quietly make their way up the stairs, their footsteps muffled by the shadows. They approach the balcony, their presence still unnoticed by Bruce.
One of the figures reaches beneath his coat and pulls out a gun. The other figure steps forward and grabs Bruce from behind, a hand clamped firmly over his mouth. The first figure aims the gun at Bruce, menacingly.
1ST FIGURE:
You’ve been a bad boy, Bruce.
2ND FIGURE:
And now it’s time to pay the price.
Suddenly, a window shatters and the two figures turn to see a figure leaping out of the window. The figure jumps to the ground and ducks behind a car.
EXT. ALLEYWAY – NIGHT
The figure breaks into a run, darting down the alleyway.
EXT. ROOFTOP – NIGHT
The figure dashes across the rooftops, leaping over gaps and leaping onto walls. The figure lands on the opposite side of the rooftop and looks back.
EXT. WAYNE MANSION – NIGHT
The figure looks down to the ground and sees the two figures leaving the mansion, their weapons tucked away inside their coats.
EXT. CITY DOCKS – NIGHT
The figure makes their way to the edge of the docks, the lights of the city in the background. A large boat is docked here and the figure hops onto it.
EXT. SHIP – NIGHT
The figure enters a cabin on the ship and begins to pack a bag. The figure pulls out a passport and a pair of tickets and tucks them away in the bag.
EXT. ASIAN CITY STREETS – DAY
The figure arrives in a bustling Asian city, their bag in hand. The figure begins to make their way through the streets, until they eventually arrive at a small inn.
EXT. INN – DAY
A tall man opens the door of the inn and ushers the figure inside.
TALL MAN:
Welcome, Bruce. We’ve been expecting you.
EXT. ASIAN CITY STREETS – DAY
The tall man leads Bruce through the streets, eventually coming to a stop outside of a tall tower. The man waves his hand and the doors of the tower open.
INT. TOWER – DAY
The tall man leads Bruce into a large room and introduces him to two people.
TALL MAN:
This is Henri Ducard and Ra’s Al Ghul. They will be your mentors.
HENRI DUCARD:
We have an important mission for you, Bruce.
RA’S AL GHUL:
We plan to use our resources to rid Gotham City of its evil.
Bruce looks at the two men in disbelief.
BRUCE:
What kind of evil are we talking about?
HENRI:
Organized crime, corrupt politicians, and other nefarious elements.
Ra’s nods in agreement.
RA’S:
It’s time to take the fight to them.
EXT. GOTHAM SKYLINE – DAY
The skyline of Gotham is now filled with crime and despair. The shadows of the buildings now stretch much further.
EXT. ALLEYWAY – DAY
Bruce strides through the alleyway, his face hard and determined. He stops in front of a group of thugs who are terrorizing a young woman.
BRUCE:
Leave her alone.
The thugs look up in surprise. Bruce advances on them, his fists curled into fists.
THUG #1:
Who the hell are you?
BRUCE:
Someone who’s here to put a stop to your little game.
The thugs scramble and run away, leaving the woman behind. Bruce turns to her and offers her a reassuring smile.
BRUCE:
Are you alright?
EXT. GOTHAM SKYLINE – NIGHT
The skyline of Gotham is now filled with hope and light, the shadows of the buildings much less present.
FADE OUT.
