Prologue

The world was changing, and the prehistoric creatures knew it. The ice age was approaching, and with it, danger and uncertainty. Manny, a wooly mammoth, had always been a solitary creature, but he knew that he couldn’t survive the coming winter alone. Diego, a fierce saber-toothed tiger, had his own reasons for joining Manny on his journey. And then there was Sid, a giant sloth with a heart of gold, who always seemed to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Together, the unlikely trio set out across the changing landscape, braving treacherous ice bridges and terrifying cliffs. But when they stumbled upon an orphaned human infant, their journey took on a new purpose. They would return the baby to its family, no matter what dangers they faced along the way.

Chapter 1: “The Meltdown Begins”

The winter had been long, but Manny knew that the worst was yet to come. He had been trudging through the snow for days, his massive tusks plowing through the drifts. Diego, his companion on this journey, was nowhere to be seen. The saber-toothed tiger had gone off on his own, as he often did, hunting for food or seeking solitude.

Manny didn’t mind the solitude. He had always been a solitary creature, content to roam the frozen landscape on his own. But as he looked around him, he realized that something was different. The snow was melting, and the ice was cracking. The world was changing, and Manny knew that he needed to adapt if he was going to survive.

As he trudged on, he heard a rustling in the snow. At first, he thought it was Diego, returning from his hunt. But as he drew closer, he realized that it was something else entirely. A small bundle lay in the snow, wrapped in animal skins. Manny approached cautiously, his massive tusks ready to defend himself if necessary.

As he drew closer, he realized that the bundle was a baby. A human baby, no less. In all his years of wandering the frozen wasteland, Manny had never seen a human child. He looked around, but there was no sign of the baby’s family.

Manny knew that he couldn’t leave the baby there in the snow. He had to find its family, and quickly. But he couldn’t do it alone. He needed help. And that’s when he remembered Diego.

Diego was fierce and unpredictable, but Manny knew that he was a skilled hunter and a fierce protector. If anyone could help him find the baby’s family, it was Diego.

He set off through the snow, his massive frame moving faster than it had in days. He had to find Diego, and he had to find him soon. The baby’s life depended on it.

As he walked, he thought about the baby’s family. Who were they? Where were they? And why had they left their child out here in the freezing cold?

He didn’t have the answers, but he knew that he had to keep moving. The ice age was coming, and with it, a world of danger and uncertainty. But Manny was determined to protect the baby, and to help it find its way home.

Chapter 2: “An Unlikely Alliance”

As Manny, Diego, and Sid continue their journey with the human infant, they quickly realize that they must work together to keep the baby safe. Despite their differences, the trio forms an unlikely alliance that will be tested time and time again.

Sid, the lovable sloth, becomes the baby’s primary caregiver. He carries the infant on his back, cooing and making funny faces to keep the baby entertained. Manny, the gruff and stoic woolly mammoth, takes on the role of protector. He leads the group through the dangerous terrain, using his size and strength to ward off predators.

Diego, the stealthy saber-toothed tiger, is perhaps the most unexpected member of the group. At first, Manny and Sid are understandably wary of the predator in their midst. But Diego assures them that he is there to help, not harm.

“I owe you guys a debt,” he explains. “And I intend to repay it.”

Diego is referring to an incident that occurred before the trio found the baby. He had been sent by a pack of saber-toothed tigers to retrieve the infant for their own nefarious purposes. But when Diego encountered Manny and his friends, he had a change of heart. Now, he is determined to protect the baby at all costs.

As the group travels through the icy landscape, they encounter other creatures along the way. Some are helpful, like Crash and Eddie, two mischievous opossums who join the group on their journey. Others are dangerous, like a pack of ravenous wolves who try to attack the group in the dead of night.

Through it all, the unlikely allies band together. Sid may drive Manny and Diego crazy with his ceaseless chatter and silly antics, but they can’t help but grow fond of the quirky sloth. And when Manny and Diego are injured in a dangerous encounter with a pack of saber-toothed tigers, Sid proves himself to be a capable and devoted friend.

The group faces many challenges on their journey, but they also share moments of joy and laughter. One day, they come across a field of colorful flowers, and Sid can’t resist the urge to frolic in the petals. Manny and Diego roll their eyes, but they can’t help but smile at the sloth’s silly antics.

As the days pass, the group becomes closer and closer. They share stories, make jokes, and watch out for each other. Manny, who has always been solitary by nature, finds himself opening up to his new friends. Sid, who has always been a bit of an outcast, finally feels like he’s found his place in the world. And Diego realizes that there is more to life than just following orders.

But the journey is far from over. The trio must continue their trek through the icy wilderness, facing down dangers both old and new. And as they draw closer to their destination, they know that they will need each other more than ever before.

Chapter 3: “Dangerous Terrain”

As the trio continue on their journey, they encounter rough terrain that poses a significant challenge. The ice is beginning to melt, creating treacherous ice bridges and dangerous cliffs. Manny, Diego, and Sid must navigate these obstacles carefully, always mindful of the dangers that lie ahead.

As they travel, they come across an area of particularly unstable ice. Diego takes the lead, carefully testing each step before he advances. Suddenly, he hears a loud crack beneath him and falls through the ice. Manny and Sid rush to his aid, but the break is too large for them to reach him.

Diego is now stranded on a floating ice sheet, quickly drifting away from the others. Manny and Sid frantically try to find a way to reach him. They spot a large rock nearby and quickly hatch a plan.

Sid climbs up onto the rock and leaps onto the ice sheet, creating a small fissure. Manny then jumps onto the ice sheet, using his tremendous weight to push it closer to Diego. The three then work together to push the ice sheet back to safe ground.

As they continue their journey, Diego is shaken by the close call. He realizes that his life has been forever changed by his alliance with Manny and Sid. Despite his initial reservations, he has come to care for the infant and his newfound friends.

As night falls, the group sets up camp on the edge of a steep cliff. Diego, still shaken from his brush with death, volunteers to stay awake and keep watch. The others settle in for the night, grateful for the warmth and safety of their makeshift shelter.

Suddenly, they are jolted awake by a loud rumbling sound. The cliff beneath them is giving way, and they are quickly sliding down the slope. In a panic, they grab onto anything they can find, trying to stop the momentum.

Manny, Diego, and Sid struggle to keep from tumbling over the edge. Finally, they manage to grab onto a sturdy tree root, which stops their descent. They slowly make their way back up the slope, shaken by the experience.

As they catch their breath, they hear the distant sound of growling. They know that they must stay alert, as they are never truly safe in a world filled with predators.

In the distance, they spot a pack of wolves descending on them. The trio quickly takes shelter behind a large boulder, hoping to avoid detection. The wolves begin to circle, sensing the presence of prey.

As the situation grows increasingly tense, Manny realizes that they have no choice but to fight. They emerge from their hiding place, ready to take on their attackers.

In a brutal fight, the trio proves themselves to be formidable opponents. Manny uses his immense strength to take out several wolves at once, while Diego relies on his speed and agility to outmaneuver his foes. Sid, too, proves his worth, using his quick thinking to devise clever strategies.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the wolves retreat, vanquished. The trio is battered and bruised, but victorious. They know that they have just narrowly escaped death, and that their journey will only become more perilous from here on out.

As they continue onwards, they know that they must remain vigilant. The world is changing rapidly, and they can never know what dangers lie ahead. But with each other by their side, they know that they have a fighting chance.

Chapter 4: “Lost and Found”

The cold wind howled through the valley as the trio of Manny, Diego, and Sid trudged through the snow. The baby they had found was bundled up in a warm makeshift sling that Sid had fashioned out of vines and branches. They had been travelling for days, following the trail of the human encampment. But as they reached the edge of a cliff, the unexpected happened. The ground beneath their feet gave way, and they were plunged into the darkness.

Manny was the first to regain his bearings. As he looked around, he could see nothing but darkness. “Diego? Sid?” he called out. There was no answer. He tried to move forward, but a shooting pain ran through his side. He had been injured in the fall.

Manny took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. He knew that he had to find his friends and the baby. He started to crawl forward, keeping his hand on the ground to feel for any obstacles. Suddenly, he heard a voice. “Manny, is that you?”

It was Diego. Manny breathed a sigh of relief. “Yeah, it’s me. Are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” Diego said. “But Sid is missing.”

Manny’s heart sank. “What do you mean, missing?”

“He was with us when we fell, but now he’s gone. I think he must have fallen into a different tunnel.”

Manny tried to stand up, but the pain in his side was too much. “We have to find him,” he said, his voice tense.

Diego nodded. “I’ll go look for him. You stay here and rest.”

Manny wanted to protest, but he knew that Diego was right. He watched as his friend disappeared into the darkness, leaving Manny alone with the baby.

As he waited, Manny couldn’t help but think about all the dangers that awaited them. The saber-toothed tigers, the treacherous cliffs, the bitter cold. Not to mention the fact that they were carrying a human baby, which would make them a target for any predator. He had never felt so helpless.

But then, he heard a noise. It sounded like someone was approaching. Manny tensed, ready for a fight. But as the figure emerged from the darkness, he relaxed. It was Sid.

“Thank goodness,” Manny said, as Sid approached. “Are you okay?”

Sid nodded, panting. “I fell into a different tunnel, but I managed to find my way back.”

Manny couldn’t help but feel relieved. With the three of them reunited, they were stronger. They resumed their journey, navigating through the pitch darkness. They had no idea where they were going, but they knew that they had to keep moving, for the baby’s sake.

And then, in the distance, Manny saw a faint light. It was like a beacon, drawing them forward. As they got closer, they could hear the sound of voices. And then, as they rounded a corner, they saw it: the human encampment.

The sight of the campfires and tents was a welcome relief after days in the darkness. But as they approached, they could see that something was wrong. The camp was deserted. It was as if everyone had vanished into thin air.

Manny felt a chill run down his spine. “What happened here?” he whispered.

Diego shook his head. “I don’t know, but we have to be careful. Something isn’t right.”

And then, they heard a growl. It was coming from behind them. They turned around, ready for a fight. And there, looming out of the darkness, was a pack of saber-toothed tigers led by Soto.

Manny, Diego, and Sid knew that they were outnumbered and outmatched. But they also knew that they had come too far to give up now. The baby’s life was in their hands.

As the tigers advanced, the three friends stood their ground. In the darkness, the only sound was the clash of teeth and claws, as they fought for their lives. It was a desperate battle, with no clear winner.

But then, unexpectedly, a howl pierced the air. It was a pack of wolves, who had been drawn to the commotion. They attacked the tigers, giving Manny, Diego, and Sid an opportunity to escape.

As they ran, they could hear the sounds of battle behind them. But they also knew that they had won a small victory. They had survived.

As they reached the outskirts of the camp, Manny felt a sense of relief wash over him. They had found the encampment, and they had survived an attack by Soto’s pack. But they also knew that their journey was far from over. They still had to return the baby to its family, and they still had enemies to face along the way. But for now, they rested, safe in the knowledge that they had found what they were looking for.

Chapter 5: “The Great Cave”

The vast cave loomed before them, beckoning the three travelers with its promise of shelter and safety. Manny, Diego, and Sid had been wandering through a barren and unforgiving landscape for several days, and the prospect of rest and respite was a welcome one.

As they entered the cave, their eyes adjusting to the dim light, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder. The walls were covered in intricate carvings and paintings, depicting scenes from a time long gone.

Sid was the first to speak, as usual. “Whoa, this place is amazing! Look at all these paintings. It’s like we’ve stumbled into a museum.”

Manny couldn’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia as he surveyed the cave. As one of the last remaining woolly mammoths on the planet, he had a deep connection to the past. He wondered if some of the creatures depicted on the walls were his ancestors.

Diego, always vigilant, was scanning the cave for any signs of danger. “Let’s not get too comfortable, guys. We don’t know who or what might be lurking in this place. We need to be on our guard.”

As they made their way deeper into the cave, they encountered a group of humans. They were unlike any humans Manny, Diego, or Sid had ever seen before. They were dressed in animal hides and brandishing spears, but they didn’t seem hostile.

The leader of the tribe, a woman named Nadia, greeted them with a warm smile. “Welcome, travelers. I am Nadia. What brings you to our cave?”

Manny stepped forward, cradling the baby in his massive tusks. “We found this infant and we’re trying to return it to its parents. We’re hoping you can help us.”

Nadia nodded, her eyes softening as she gazed at the tiny bundle. “Of course. We would be happy to assist you. But first, please allow us to provide you with some food and rest.”

Manny, Diego, and Sid gratefully accepted the offer. As they sat around a crackling fire and feasted on roasted mammoth meat, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of community.

As the night wore on, Manny found himself drawn to another woolly mammoth. Her name was Ellie, and she was unlike any female Manny had ever met. She was spirited and independent, with a mischievous glint in her eye.

They spent hours talking and laughing, sharing stories of their past and dreaming of their future. Manny couldn’t help but feel a sense of kinship with Ellie. They were both survivors, fighting against the odds to carve out a place in a harsh and unforgiving world.

As the night drew to a close, Nadia approached Manny with a solemn expression. “I’m sorry to say that we cannot accompany you on your journey to return the infant. Our tribe is in the midst of a great upheaval, and we cannot leave our cave unguarded.”

Manny nodded. He understood the importance of protecting one’s home, even in the face of great peril. “Thank you for your hospitality, Nadia. We will continue on our journey alone.”

With heavy hearts, Manny, Diego, and Sid set out once again into the unknown. But as they walked away from the cave, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of longing. They had found a home, even if only for a brief moment. And they knew that they would carry the memories of that night with them always.

Chapter 6: “Betrayal”

The group had finally made it to the humans’ camp. Manny, Diego, and Sid were exhausted, but relieved to have made it to their destination. As they approached the camp, they could see the flickering light of a fire and the silhouettes of humans moving about.

But their relief was short-lived. Just as they entered the camp, Diego’s demeanor changed. He turned to face Manny and Sid, a feral glint in his eyes.

“I have to tell you guys something,” he started slowly. “I was sent by Soto to retrieve the baby. He promised me that if I did, he would spare my life.”

Manny and Sid were stunned. They had trusted Diego, and now he was telling them that he had betrayed them. Manny’s trunk curled in anger as he took a step closer to Diego.

“How could you do this to us? We trusted you!” he roared.

Diego seemed taken aback by Manny’s reaction. “I didn’t know it would turn out like this,” he replied, a hint of regret in his voice. “I thought I could get the baby and be done with it. But being with you guys, protecting the baby…it changed me.”

Sid looked from Manny to Diego, his eyes wide with fear. “What are we going to do now?” he asked, his voice trembling.

Manny thought for a moment, his mind racing with possibilities. “We need to get out of here,” he finally said. “We can’t let Soto get his hands on the baby. But we can’t just leave him here either.”

Diego nodded in agreement. “I’ll distract the humans,” he said. “You guys take the baby and head for the hills.”

Manny and Sid looked at each other, unsure of whether to trust Diego again. But the plan seemed like their best option, so they reluctantly agreed.

As Diego began to move towards the center of the camp, Manny and Sid quietly slipped away with the baby. They hurried through the dark, twisting alleys of the camp, trying to find a way out.

But they were spotted by one of the humans, who shouted out a warning. In an instant, the quiet camp was thrown into chaos as the humans raised the alarm and began to give chase.

Manny and Sid ran as fast as they could, the baby bouncing in Manny’s trunk. They could hear the humans closing in behind them, their shouts growing louder by the second.

They were almost at the edge of the camp when they heard a fierce roar. It was Diego, charging towards them with a group of misfit animals behind him.

“Get on my back!” he shouted, as he barreled towards them.

Manny, Sid, and the baby scrambled onto Diego’s back as he raced through the narrow streets of the camp. The humans were hot on their heels, but they couldn’t keep up with the speed of the trio.

Finally, they reached the edge of the camp and emerged into the open air. Manny, Sid, and the baby hopped off of Diego’s back, breathing heavily.

“We almost didn’t make it,” Sid gasped, clutching his side.

“But we did,” Manny replied, a fierce glint in his eye. “And now we have to protect this baby from Soto and his pack.”

The group continued to run through the dark, unfamiliar landscape, unsure of where they were headed but determined to keep the baby safe. They had been betrayed and ambushed, but they had come out of it stronger than ever before. And there was no stopping them now.

Chapter 7: “The Final Showdown”

Manny, Diego, and Sid had finally made it to the humans’ camp. They had one goal in mind: to return the baby to its rightful parents. However, they were not alone. Soto and his pack of saber-toothed tigers had been tailing them and were hot on their trail.

As they entered the camp, the trio could feel the tension in the air. The humans were afraid, and Soto’s pack was ready for a fight. Manny could sense the danger, and he knew that they needed a plan. He turned to Diego and Sid and quickly formulated a strategy.

“We need to draw them away from the humans,” Manny said. “Sid, you take the baby and lead them on a wild goose chase. Diego and I will stay here and hold them off.”

Sid nodded, not liking the idea of being chased by a pack of dangerous predators but understanding that it was for the greater good. He grabbed the baby and took off running in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Manny and Diego prepared for battle. They knew that Soto and his pack were skilled fighters and that they were outnumbered. But they also knew that they had something that Soto didn’t: teamwork.

As Soto and his pack approached, Manny and Diego stood their ground. Soto was the first to attack, lunging at Manny with his razor-sharp claws. Manny dodged the attack and retaliated with a powerful headbutt, sending Soto flying.

Diego was also holding his own, taking on two of Soto’s lieutenants at once. He used his lightning-fast reflexes to dodge their attacks and delivered precise strikes of his own.

The battle raged on, with both sides taking hits and dealing out damage. But Manny and Diego knew that they had an ace up their sleeve. They had spotted a nearby cliff that was hanging by a thread. They knew that if they could lure the predators onto it, they could cause it to collapse and take out their enemies.

As they fought, Manny and Diego slowly led Soto and his pack towards the unstable cliff. They were playing a dangerous game, but they knew that it was the only way to end the fight.

Finally, they had led their enemies to the edge of the cliff. Manny and Diego stepped back, luring Soto and his pack towards the final trap. Just as they had planned, the cliff started to crumble, and large chunks of ice began to fall away.

Manny and Diego leaped to safety as Soto and his pack tumbled down the cliff and into the abyss below. It was a harrowing moment, but the trio had emerged victorious.

As they caught their breath, they realized that they had done something incredible. They had fought together, as a team, and had emerged victorious. They knew that they had formed a bond that would last a lifetime.

Sid returned, out of breath but unharmed. Together, the trio returned the baby to its parents and received a warm welcome from the humans. It was a momentous occasion, and they knew that they had done something truly noble.

As the group said their goodbyes, they knew that their journey had come to an end. But they also knew that the memories they had made together would last a lifetime. They had formed a family, and they knew that they would always be there for each other no matter what the future held.

Chapter 8: “A New Family”

As the group returned the baby to its parents, they were overwhelmed with a sense of relief and accomplishment. The journey had been long and treacherous, but they had made it. As they said their goodbyes to the humans, the trio couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness. They had formed an unbreakable bond and had become a family of their own.

Manny, Diego, and Sid knew that they would always have each other, but the thought of parting ways was still bittersweet. As they began to make their way back to their own homes, they couldn’t help but reflect on everything they had been through.

Along the way, they encountered familiar faces, including Ellie, the female woolly mammoth who Manny had formed a bond with. As they joined forces once again, they knew that they were stronger together.

As they travelled through the changing landscape, they encountered new challenges, including an enormous waterfall that they had to navigate. With Sid’s help, they were able to construct a makeshift raft and make it safely to the other side.

As they settled down for the night, Manny, Diego, Sid, and Ellie found themselves sharing stories about their past adventures. They all had their own unique experiences and perspectives, but they had all been brought together by fate.

As the journey continued, the group’s bond grew stronger. They laughed together, cried together, and relied on each other for support. Even as they encountered new dangers, like a swarm of vultures and a pack of hungry wolves, they faced them head on, working together to overcome any obstacle.

Finally, they arrived at their destination: a beautiful meadow surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. Though it was a far cry from the dangerous wilderness they had traversed, they all knew that they would always carry the memories of their journey with them.

As they settled into their new home, Manny, Diego, Sid, and Ellie knew that they had found something special. They had formed a family, one that transcended species and circumstance. They knew that no matter what the future held, they would always have each other.

As the sun set on their first day in the meadow, Manny, Diego, Sid, and Ellie sat together, watching the stars come out one by one. They shared a moment of silence, but it was a comfortable one, filled with the knowledge that they were where they were meant to be.

In that moment, they realized that their journey had been about more than just returning a baby to its family. It had been about finding themselves, and each other, along the way. And as they looked out at the world around them, they knew that their adventures were far from over. Together, they were unstoppable.

Chapter 9: “Journey’s End”

The sun was rising on a new day as Manny, Diego, and Sid gazed out across the vast, open landscape before them. It had been a long and perilous journey, full of unexpected twists and turns, but they had finally reached the end. The ice age was coming to a close, and they were ready to say goodbye to the world they had come to love.

As they stood there, watching the sun rise over the horizon, Manny felt a pang of sadness. He had grown attached to his new friends, and he knew that it would be hard to say goodbye. But he also knew that it was time to move on.

“Guys,” he said, turning to his companions, “I just want to say thank you. For everything. For helping me find a new family, and for being there for me when I needed it the most.”

Diego smiled. “Don’t get all mushy on us, Manny. We’ve still got a lot of adventures left in us.”

Sid chuckled. “Yeah, like finding a new place to live. This place is starting to get a little…mushy.”

Manny laughed. “You’re not wrong, Sid. It’s time to move on.”

As they started to make their way across the landscape, they were greeted by the sounds of other animals. A herd of mammoths was passing by, their massive bodies filling the horizon. Manny couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as he watched them go. He knew that they were a symbol of the world that he was leaving behind.

But as they continued on, he realized that he was ready for a new world. A world where he could continue to find love, friendship, and adventure. He knew that the journey was far from over.

As they walked, they talked about their plans for the future. Diego was ready to start a new family, while Sid was excited to explore new lands. Manny, on the other hand, was content to take things one day at a time.

“I’ve learned that life is unpredictable,” he said. “You never know where the journey will take you. But as long as you have friends by your side, you can face anything.”

They walked on for hours, taking in the sights and sounds around them. The world was changing, but they were ready for whatever came next. As the sun began to set on the horizon, Manny knew that it was time to say goodbye.

“Good luck, guys,” he said, turning to his companions. “I’ll never forget the journey we shared together. And who knows? Maybe our paths will cross again someday.”

As he walked away, Manny felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. He didn’t know what the future held, but he knew that he was ready for it. The journey was far from over, but he knew that he was surrounded by friends who would always be there for him.

With a final wave goodbye, Manny turned to the horizon and began to walk towards the unknown.

As they approach the end of the bridge, they see that it has collapsed, leaving them stranded on a small island of ice.

MANNY

(looking around frantically)

We need to find another way across.

DIEGO

(wincing in pain)

I don’t think I can run anymore.

SID

(eyes widening in terror)

They’re getting closer!

Just then, a group of misfit creatures – including a pair of armadillos and a family of possums – appears out of nowhere.

ARMADILLO #1

(rolling up into a ball)

Don’t worry, guys. We’ve got this!

The possums chime in, cheering them on with their high-pitched voices.

POSSEUM #1

You can do it! Go team!

Together, the group manages to fashion a makeshift bridge out of pieces of ice, and they scramble across it just as the saber-toothed tigers arrive.

MANNY

(panting with relief)

Thanks for your help.

ARMADILLO #2

(smiling)

No problem. We stick together, right guys?

The creatures share a group hug as Diego looks on, grateful to be alive.

DIEGO

(softly to Manny)

Thanks for not giving up on me.

MANNY

(putting a trunk around his friend’s shoulder)

You’re part of the family, Diego. We’ve got each other’s backs.

The group continues on their journey, strengthened by their bonds of friendship and loyalty.

Scene 5

INT. GREAT CAVE – DAY

Manny, Diego, and Sid enter the great cave, amazed by its vastness. A group of prehistoric humans welcome them inside.

HUMAN LEADER

Welcome, travelers. I am Roshan, leader of the tribe.

Manny and Ellie exchange a curious look.

ROSHAN (CONT’D)

We have never seen a mammoth like you before. Ellie is it?

ELLIE

(smiling) Yes, that’s right.

ROSHAN

And who are your friends?

Manny introduces Diego and Sid. Roshan nods in acknowledgement.

ROSHAN (CONT’D)

You’re welcome to stay here as long as you like. Our fire is warm and our food is plentiful.

Manny and Ellie share a moment of connection, admiring each other’s strength and survival skills.

ELLIE

(whispering) I never knew there were any other mammoths left.

Manny looks down, a hint of sadness in his eyes.

MANNY

There aren’t many of us left. But we’re a tough group.

Sid interrupts their moment, shouting excitedly.

SID

Look at all the food! (gesturing to the tribe’s provisions)

Diego rolls his eyes but can’t help but chuckle at Sid’s enthusiasm.

As the group settles in, Diego notices a group of saber-toothed tigers lurking in the distance.

DIEGO

(suspiciously) Something’s not right…

Manny and Ellie follow Diego’s gaze.

MANNY

(urgently) We have to warn the tribe.

The group springs into action, gathering together to protect the humans and themselves.

As the saber-toothed tigers approach, the group stands their ground, ready for battle.

The ensuing fight is intense, with Manny and Ellie using their strength to fend off the tigers while Diego and Sid team up to outsmart them.

In the end, the group emerges victorious, though not without injury.

Manny and Ellie share a tender moment, grateful for each other’s bravery and strength.

ELLIE

(whispering) You’re a hero, Manny.

Manny smiles, feeling like he finally has a place in the world among people who understand him.

As the night falls and the group settles in for the evening, a sense of peace descends upon the great cave. For once, Manny, Diego, and Sid feel like they have found a home.

Scene 6

EXT. SNOWY LANDSCAPE – DAY

Manny, Sid, and Ellie are trudging through a snowy landscape. They are exhausted and freezing, but they keep walking.

MANNNY

(to Diego)

How could you do this to us, Diego? We thought you were our friend.

DIEGO

I’m sorry, Manny. I was just doing what I thought was best.

SID

(angrily)

Best for who? For Soto and his pack?

Suddenly, the ground shakes and they hear a loud rumbling sound.

ELLIE

What’s that?

Manny looks up and sees a huge avalanche barreling towards them.

MANNNY

Get down!

They all huddle together, trying to protect the baby from the avalanche. After a few tense moments, the avalanche passes them by.

Manny looks around, and he sees that Diego is buried in the snow.

MANNNY

(to Sid and Ellie)

Help me dig him out!

They all start shoveling snow, and after a few minutes, they manage to uncover Diego.

DIEGO

(coughing)

Thanks, guys.

SID

(to Diego)

We’ll call a truce for now, but you’re on thin ice.

ELLIE

(to Manny)

We need to keep moving. We’re almost there.

MANNNY

(nodding)

Right. Let’s go.

They start walking again, and after a few minutes, they see a bright light in the distance. As they get closer, they realize that it’s a huge bonfire, and there are people gathered around it.

Manny, Sid, Diego, and Ellie all exchange a look. They know that this is their last chance to save the baby, and themselves.

Manny takes a deep breath, and they all walk towards the bonfire.
