The airbag deployed, slamming Dr. Martin Harris in the face. As consciousness slowly ebbed back in, he opened his eyes, disorientated and dazed. His vision was blurred, his head ached. He felt a sticky substance on his forehead and the strange salty taste of blood in his mouth.
Dr. Harris looked around the car. The driver side window was smashed and the steering wheel cracked. It was then that he realized he was not alone. He saw another man slumped in the passenger seat. His heart started to race as he remembered the sound of two doors opening before the accident.
Dr. Harris got out of the car and frantically looked around him. Streets stretched before him, silent and empty. He could hear the faint sound of an ambulance in the distance and he knew he was alone.
He tried to think back to how he got there – to how he had come to be in such a perilous situation – but try as he might, the events of the night fogged his mind. In his pocket, he found his wallet, with the well-known white card inside. It could only mean one thing: someone had assumed his identity.
He felt a chill run through him as he considered his plight. If another man had assumed his identity, that meant he was a man without a name – a man without an identity. Nowhere to turn, nobody to trust. He was all alone in a strange city, hunted by an unknown force.

We see a car driving along a city street at night. The car is driven by DR. MARTIN HARRIS, a distinguished looking man in his mid 40s.
Suddenly, two doors nearby open and two men jump out. They rush towards the car, guns drawn.
EXT. CAR – CONTINUOUS
Dr. Harris sees the men coming towards him and slams his foot on the accelerator. The car lurches forward and he swerves, narrowly avoiding the two men.
EXT. CITY STREET – CONTINUOUS
Dr. Harris speeds away, the two men in hot pursuit. He takes a sharp turn and loses them temporarily. He breathes a sigh of relief, until he hears the sound of a gunshot.

Dr. Harris takes a sharp turn and the car swerves, crashing into an oncoming vehicle. Seconds later, the car’s airbag deploys, slamming Dr. Harris in the face.

Dr. Harris approaches the apartment building, and finds the man in an empty room. The two men face each other. The man reveals the motive for stealing his identity – the newly developed technology that Dr. Harris had been working on.
The man begs for Dr. Harris to keep his identity a secret and offers information about the project in exchange. Dr. Harris agrees and the man gives him the information he needs.

Dr. Harris enters the lab, a flurry of activity as he starts preparing for the project. He works tirelessly for days, using the information provided to him by the informant to develop a revolutionary new technology that could change the world.
