Prologue:

Frances “Baby” Houseman had always been a good girl. Growing up in an upper-class family, she had been expected to follow a certain path in life. But when she arrived at Kellerman’s Resort for her family’s annual summer vacation, everything changed. She fell in love with Johnny Castle, a working-class dance instructor, and learned that life was full of unexpected twists and turns. This is the story of how Baby found herself, defied expectations, and discovered true love in the most unexpected of places.

Chapter 1: The Summer Begins

Frances “Baby” Houseman sat in the backseat of her family’s station wagon, staring out the window as they drove up the winding road to Kellerman’s Resort. As usual, she was dreading the next few months. The Catskills were beautiful, but the same old routine of spending time with her parents and sister, and hanging out with other wealthy guests, was getting old. But this summer was different. This summer, everything would change.

When they arrived at Kellerman’s, Baby felt a familiar sense of dread wash over her. She knew what was ahead: boring days by the pool, sunburns, and endless socializing with people she didn’t really care about. But then she saw him: Johnny Castle, the resort’s dance instructor.

Johnny was nothing like the other men at Kellerman’s. He was ruggedly handsome, with a mop of curly hair and a wicked smile. When he danced, his movements were fluid and graceful, as if he were born to move. Baby felt something stir inside of her as she watched him teach a class. She couldn’t explain it, but she knew that she wanted to get closer to him.

Over the next few days, Baby watched Johnny from a distance, trying to work up the courage to speak to him. Finally, she got her chance. One afternoon, as she was exploring the resort, she stumbled upon Johnny teaching a private lesson.

“Excuse me,” she said, interrupting the lesson. “I’m sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could teach me how to dance.”

Johnny looked up, surprised. “I don’t usually give private lessons,” he said, “but there’s something about you…”

For the next hour, Johnny taught Baby the basic steps of the mambo. She was awkward at first, but she soon found herself getting into the rhythm of the dance. It was as if a part of her had been awakened that she never knew existed.

As the sun began to set, Johnny and Baby realized that they had been dancing for hours. They were sweaty and breathless, but they couldn’t stop moving.

“Thanks for teaching me,” Baby said, smiling up at Johnny. “I’ve never had so much fun in my life.”

Johnny grinned back at her. “Anytime,” he said, and Baby knew that this was only the beginning.

From that moment on, Baby and Johnny’s relationship grew stronger each day. They would sneak away to a secluded area of the resort and dance together, learning new moves and getting closer with each passing moment. Baby knew that her parents would never approve of her seeing a working-class dance instructor, but she couldn’t help the way she felt.

As the weeks went by, Baby and Johnny’s feelings for each other deepened. They knew that their time together was limited, that they came from different worlds and had different expectations for their lives. But they couldn’t deny the connection that they had, the way that their bodies moved together as if they were made for each other.

One night, as they danced under the stars, Baby looked up at Johnny and knew that she would never forget this summer. No matter what happened in the future, this would always be the summer that she fell in love with Johnny Castle.

Chapter 2: The Dance Lesson

As the sun set over Kellerman’s Resort, Baby and Johnny made their way to a secluded area of the resort. Johnny had promised to teach Baby how to dance, and she was eager to learn.

“Do you have any experience at all?” Johnny asked, as they found a place to practice.

“None,” Baby admitted, feeling a little embarrassed.

“That’s okay,” Johnny said with a reassuring smile. “Everyone has to start somewhere.”

Johnny began by showing Baby some basic steps, and she quickly picked up on them. She was a quick learner, and Johnny was impressed by her natural talent.

As they danced, Johnny couldn’t help but notice the way Baby moved. She was graceful and fluid, and he found himself getting lost in the rhythm of the music and the movement of her body.

“You’re a natural,” Johnny said, as they finished their first dance.

“Thank you,” Baby said, feeling a little shy.

“You’ve got a lot of potential,” Johnny continued. “With a little more practice, you could be really great.”

“I’d like that,” Baby said, smiling.

As the night wore on, Johnny taught Baby more and more intricate dance moves. They practiced late into the night, and by the time they were finished, Baby felt exhausted but exhilarated.

“I can’t believe how much I’ve learned in one night,” she said, as they walked back to the resort.

“I told you you had potential,” Johnny said, grinning.

As they said goodbye, Baby felt a sense of disappointment. She didn’t want the night to end. She felt a connection to Johnny, and she wanted to spend more time with him.

But as she made her way back to her room, she knew that there were many obstacles they would have to overcome if they wanted to be together. Her parents would never approve of her seeing a working-class dance instructor, and the other guests at the resort would likely look down on them as well.

Despite the challenges that lay ahead, Baby couldn’t help but feel excited about the prospect of spending more time with Johnny. She knew that their connection was something special, and she was eager to see where it would lead.

Chapter 3: The Forbidden Relationship

Baby couldn’t believe what was happening. She had only been at Kellerman’s Resort for a few days, but already she was caught up in a whirlwind of emotions. Johnny had taken her under his wing, teaching her to dance and showing her a world she had never known.

As they spent more time together, Baby found herself drawn to Johnny’s rugged charm and his dedication to his craft. It wasn’t just his dancing that impressed her; it was the way he carried himself, the way he spoke, the way he looked at her with those intense eyes.

But she also knew that their relationship was forbidden. Johnny was a working-class dance instructor, and she was the privileged daughter of a doctor. Her parents would never approve of her spending time with someone like him, and the other guests at the resort would surely gossip and judge her.

Despite all this, Baby couldn’t help the way she felt. She longed to be near Johnny, to feel his strong arms around her, to hear his voice whispering in her ear. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t resist the pull of their attraction.

One day, Johnny took her to a quiet spot by the lake. They sat on a blanket, and he pulled out a bottle of wine. They drank together, and Johnny shared stories from his past, stories about growing up in a rough neighborhood and about his dreams of becoming a professional dancer.

As the sun began to set, Johnny took Baby’s hand and led her onto the makeshift dance floor they had set up. He put on a slow song, and they began to sway together, lost in the moment.

Baby closed her eyes and let herself be swept away by the music and by Johnny’s touch. She felt safe and protected in his arms, and she knew that nothing else mattered. All that mattered was this moment, this connection they shared.

But eventually, reality came crashing back in. They knew they couldn’t stay out here forever, that they had to face the judgment of others back at the resort. Reluctantly, they said goodnight and went their separate ways.

For the rest of the week, Baby and Johnny tried to keep their distance. It was too risky, too dangerous to keep spending time together. But they couldn’t help stealing glances at each other from across the room, and Baby’s heart would skip a beat every time she saw him.

As the days went by, Baby felt more and more torn. She desperately wanted to be with Johnny, but she knew that it would only lead to trouble. Plus, she didn’t want to disappoint her parents or ruin her reputation in front of the other guests.

But despite all her fears and doubts, something inside her kept drawing her back to Johnny. She couldn’t explain it, but she knew that he was the one she wanted to be with, the one who made her feel alive.

As the end of the week approached, Baby knew that she had to make a decision. Would she follow her heart and be with Johnny, or would she play it safe and return to her privileged life?

She didn’t know what the future held, but she knew one thing for sure: her life would never be the same after meeting Johnny Castle.

Chapter 4: The Talent Show

With just a week left until the talent show, Baby and Johnny were practicing their dance routine every chance they got. Despite the challenges they faced as an unlikely dance duo, they were determined to make a lasting impression on the judges and the other guests at Kellerman’s.

One afternoon, while rehearsing by the lake, Baby and Johnny were interrupted by Robbie, the resort waiter who had caught Baby’s eye when they first arrived. Robbie had an arrogant air about him and clearly disapproved of Baby’s association with Johnny.

“What are you two doing out here?” Robbie sneered. “Don’t you have a talent show to prepare for?”

Ignoring Robbie, Johnny motioned for Baby to continue their practice routine. As they danced, they blocked out Robbie’s snide comments and focused on their steps. They knew that their performance at the talent show would be the most important of their lives.

Later that week, Baby’s father caught a glimpse of her practicing with Johnny and was furious. He forbade Baby from seeing Johnny again and warned her that he would not tolerate any more disobedience.

But Baby refused to let her father control her life. She knew that her dance with Johnny was her one chance to break free from her sheltered life and follow her heart.

The night of the talent show finally arrived. Baby and Johnny were backstage, ready to make their grand entrance. As they waited, they could hear the murmurs of the crowd outside, wondering what kind of performance they could expect from the unlikely duo.

When it was finally their turn to perform, Baby and Johnny walked out onto the stage to a mixture of cheers and jeers. They ignored the skeptics and locked eyes, ready to give the performance of a lifetime.

Their dance was powerful, passionate, and full of emotion. As they twirled and spun around each other, their movements were in perfect sync. The audience was captivated, and even Baby’s father couldn’t help but be impressed.

When the dance ended, the crowd erupted into applause. Baby and Johnny took their final bow, and as they walked offstage, they knew that their performance had changed everything. They had proven that love and passion were more important than societal expectations and class differences.

After the talent show, Baby’s father approached her and apologized for his behavior. He realized that his daughter was growing up and that he needed to trust her decisions. Baby hugged her father, grateful for his understanding.

As the night wore on, Baby and Johnny found themselves alone by the lake. They talked about their future and what it might hold. They knew that their time together was limited, but they were determined to make the most of it.

In that moment, as they looked out at the glistening water, Baby and Johnny knew that their love was worth fighting for. They may have come from different worlds, but on that stage, they proved that their love was stronger than anything that could keep them apart.

Chapter 5: The Secret Meeting

The moon shone brightly in the sky, casting a soft, silver glow over the resort grounds. Johnny and Baby had arranged to meet each other at midnight, away from the prying eyes of the staff and guests. They had chosen a quiet area of the resort, hidden among the trees, where they could be alone and talk freely.

As Baby made her way through the darkness, she felt a strange mix of excitement and nervousness. Being with Johnny made her feel alive in a way that she had never experienced before. She knew that they were taking a risk, but she couldn’t resist the pull she felt towards him.

When she reached their meeting spot, Johnny was already there, leaning against a tree with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked up as she approached, and a smile spread across his face.

“Hey there, Baby,” he said, his voice low and husky.

“Hey,” she replied, feeling her cheeks flush with color.

He reached out and took her hand, pulling her closer to him. She could feel the warmth of his body against hers, and her heart began to race.

“I’ve been thinking about you all day,” he said softly.

“Me too,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

They stood there for a few moments, just looking at each other, before Johnny spoke again.

“I was wondering if you wanted to dance,” he said, nodding towards the small clearing in front of them.

Baby felt a rush of excitement at the suggestion. She loved dancing with Johnny, and the thought of being alone with him, moving together under the stars, was almost too much to handle.

“Yes, I’d love to,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.

Johnny took her hand and led her to the center of the clearing. He put one hand on her waist and the other in hers, and they began to dance. The soft strains of a nearby band drifted through the air, and the rhythm of the music seemed to flow through their bodies.

As they moved together, Baby felt a sense of freedom and passion that she had never known before. There was something about the way Johnny looked at her, the way he moved with her, that made her feel like she was the only person in the world.

They danced for what felt like hours, lost in the moment and the music. When they finally stopped, they were both breathless, their bodies slick with sweat.

“Thank you,” Baby said, smiling up at Johnny.

“Anytime,” he replied, his eyes sparkling in the moonlight.

They sat down together on the ground, leaning back against the tree. For a while, they just talked, sharing their hopes and dreams for the future. Johnny told Baby about his dream of opening his own dance studio, and she listened intently, feeling more and more drawn to him with each passing moment.

As the night drew on, Baby realized that it was getting late. She knew that she would have to leave soon if she didn’t want to get caught by her parents or the staff.

“I should probably go,” she said reluctantly, standing up from the ground.

Johnny stood up with her, taking her hand in his.

“Before you go, there’s something that I want to give you,” he said, pulling a small object out of his pocket.

It was a necklace, a simple silver chain with a small pendant in the shape of a music note. Baby gasped as she saw it, feeling her heart swell with emotion.

“It’s beautiful,” she whispered, as Johnny fastened it around her neck.

“It’s to remind you of our time together,” he said, his eyes locked on hers.

Baby felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes as she looked at him. She knew that this was a gift that she would treasure forever.

“Thank you, Johnny,” she said, throwing her arms around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. They stayed like that for a moment, just holding each other, before finally pulling apart.

“Be careful, okay?” Johnny said, brushing a strand of hair away from Baby’s face.

“I will,” she replied, giving him one last smile.

With one last glance back at him, Baby turned and walked away from the clearing, her heart heavy with emotion. She knew that the summer was coming to an end, and that she might never see Johnny again, but she couldn’t help feeling grateful for their time together.

Chapter 6: The Tragic Event

As Baby and Johnny continue to train for the talent show, their connection grows deeper. Their rehearsals become more intense, and they spend every spare moment perfecting their routine.

One afternoon, they are practicing a particularly challenging lift when Johnny’s dance partner, Penny, stumbles and falls. She injures her leg, leaving Johnny with no one to perform with in the talent show.

With the show just a few days away, Johnny turns to Baby for help. He knows that she has been practicing their routine with him and that she has the potential to be an incredible dancer. Despite her lack of experience, Baby agrees to take Penny’s place and perform with Johnny.

For the next few days, Baby and Johnny work relentlessly to perfect their routine. They spend hours practicing lifts, spins, and twirls until their bodies ache.

Baby’s determination and natural talent for dancing surprise Johnny, and he begins to see her in a new light. He admires her strength and courage and finds himself falling for her more each day.

On the night of the talent show, Baby is nervous but excited. She has never performed in front of such a large audience before, but she is determined to do her best. As she and Johnny take the stage, the audience falls silent.

They begin their routine, moving gracefully across the dance floor. Their chemistry is electric, and the audience is captivated by their every move.

As they approach the final lift, Baby can feel Johnny’s hands on her waist, guiding her into the air. For a moment, she feels weightless, suspended in mid-air.

But then suddenly, everything goes wrong. As Johnny attempts to lower her back to the ground, Baby’s foot catches on his shoulder, and she falls to the floor with a sickening thud.

The audience gasps as Baby lies motionless on the ground. Johnny rushes to her side, cradling her head in his arms. Panic sets in as everyone waits for the paramedics to arrive.

In that moment, everything changes. Baby’s future is uncertain, and Johnny is filled with remorse. He knows that he should never have put her in danger and that his actions have caused her injury.

As they wait for help to arrive, the reality of what has happened sinks in. Baby’s dreams of becoming a professional dancer may be over, and Johnny’s guilt threatens to consume him.

But even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, their love for each other remains steadfast. As they cling to each other, they know that no matter what the future holds, they will face it together.

Chapter 7: The Talent Show

The day of the talent show had finally arrived. Baby and Johnny had been rehearsing for weeks, and they were both nervous but excited to share their dance with the audience.

As they waited backstage for their turn to perform, Baby couldn’t help but feel anxious. She knew that her parents and sister were in the audience, but she couldn’t bring herself to care about their disapproval anymore. All she cared about was Johnny and their dance.

Finally, the emcee called their names, and they made their way onto the stage. The lights were bright, but Baby could still make out the sea of faces in the audience. She spotted her family sitting in the front row, and her father’s disapproving expression made her heart sink.

Johnny took her hand, and they began their dance. From the very first step, they were in perfect sync. Their bodies moved together as if they were one, and the audience was captivated.

As they twirled around the stage, Baby’s worries faded away. She was completely lost in the music and the moment, caught up in the passion and sensuality of the dance.

When they finished, the audience erupted into applause. Baby and Johnny took their final bow, and then quickly made their way backstage.

As they caught their breath, Baby felt a sense of relief wash over her. They had done it. They had shared their love and their talent with the world, and nothing could take that away from them.

But as they left the stage and walked back to their cabins, they overheard some of the other guests whispering about their performance. Some of them sounded scandalized, and Baby felt her spirits start to sink.

She knew that their relationship was viewed as taboo by many of the people at the resort, but she couldn’t help feeling hurt by their words. She wanted to shout out that their dance was not just about sex, but about true love and passion.

When they arrived back at their cabin, Baby couldn’t hold back her tears any longer. She collapsed onto the bed, sobbing uncontrollably.

Johnny rushed to her side, cradling her in his arms. “Baby, don’t listen to them,” he whispered. “You were amazing out there. We were amazing together.”

Baby looked up at him, her eyes still filled with tears. “But what if we can never be together for real?” she asked. “What if this is all we have, just these stolen moments and secret dances?”

Johnny leaned down and kissed her forehead. “We’ll figure it out, Baby,” he said. “We’ll find a way to be together, no matter what anyone else thinks or says.”

And with those words, Baby felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could find a way to make their love work after all.

Chapter 8: The Final Dance

Baby sat on the balcony of her hotel room, staring out at the beautiful view of the ocean. She couldn’t believe that her summer was coming to an end. Time had flown by so quickly, and she felt like she had barely had a chance to live.

She thought about Johnny and how much he had changed her life. He had taught her to dance and had shown her a side of herself that she never knew existed. She felt like she had truly fallen in love with him, but now she had to leave him behind.

Suddenly, there was a knock at her door. She got up to answer it, and when she opened it, she saw Johnny standing there. He looked just as surprised to see her as she was to see him.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, her heart pounding in her chest.

“I came to say goodbye,” he said, his eyes sad.

Baby felt her heart sink. She knew that this was the end.

They stood there for a moment, staring at each other. Then Johnny spoke.

“I want to show you something,” he said, holding out his hand.

Baby took it, and he led her down to the dance studio. When they got there, Johnny walked over to the stereo and turned on the music. The sound of “Time of My Life” filled the room.

Baby felt tears spring to her eyes. This was the song that they had danced to at the talent show. The memories of that night flooded back to her, and she felt a pang of sadness.

Johnny walked over to her and took her hand. “I want to dance with you one last time,” he said.

Baby nodded, and they moved onto the dance floor. As they started to dance, Baby felt like she was in a dream. She couldn’t believe that she was actually dancing with Johnny again.

They moved together in perfect harmony, their bodies fitting together like two puzzle pieces. Baby felt like she was flying. It was like nothing else in the world existed except for her and Johnny and the music.

As the song came to an end, Johnny pulled her closer to him. “I love you, Baby,” he whispered in her ear.

Baby felt her heart swell with emotion. “I love you too, Johnny,” she whispered back.

They kissed, their lips meeting in a passionate embrace. It was a moment that Baby knew she would never forget.

When they finally pulled apart, Johnny looked at her with tears in his eyes. “I’ll never forget you, Baby,” he said.

“I’ll never forget you either, Johnny,” she replied, feeling her own tears start to fall.

They held each other for a few more moments, just enjoying the closeness. Then, reluctantly, they pulled apart.

“Goodbye, Baby,” Johnny said, his voice heavy with emotion.

“Goodbye, Johnny,” Baby replied, before turning and walking out of the studio.

As she walked back to her hotel room, Baby knew that she would never forget this summer. She had learned so much about herself and had fallen in love for the first time. She also knew that Johnny would always have a special place in her heart.

When she got to her room, she collapsed onto her bed and cried. She cried for everything that she was leaving behind, but also for everything that she had gained. She knew that this summer would always be a part of her, no matter where life took her next.

Chapter 9: The Reunion

Baby had always known that one day she would return to Kellerman’s Resort, but she never expected it to be with her husband Neil and their daughter. As they walked through the lobby, memories flooded back to Baby, memories of that summer so long ago when she fell in love with Johnny Castle.

As they made their way to their room, Baby’s mind went back to her last night with Johnny, the night of the final dance. She remembered the passion and the love they shared, and how their time together ended in heartbreak. She wondered if she would ever see him again.

The next day, Baby and her family headed to the resort’s pool, where she saw Johnny for the first time in years. He was teaching a group of children to dance, and as she watched him, she felt a surge of love and longing in her heart.

“Mom, can we learn to dance too?” Baby’s daughter asked, tugging at her hand.

Baby looked at Neil, who nodded, and they approached Johnny. He greeted them warmly, but Baby could sense the tension between him and Neil.

As they began their dance lessons, Baby and Johnny’s connection grew stronger with each passing day. They fell into their old routine, practicing late into the night and stealing moments alone whenever they could.

One day, as they danced in a secluded spot by the lake, Johnny took Baby’s face in his hands and looked into her eyes. “Baby, I’ve never stopped loving you,” he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Tears filled Baby’s eyes as she looked back at him. “Johnny, I never stopped loving you either,” she whispered.

They shared a kiss, a kiss that was both passionate and tender. For a moment, it was as if nothing had changed, that they were still the same two young lovers they had been so many years ago.

But the reality of their situation soon set in. Baby was married with a child, and Johnny had his dance studio. Their time together was limited, and they both knew it.

As the days passed, Baby and Johnny grew increasingly conflicted. They knew they couldn’t continue to see each other, but they couldn’t bear to let go of the love they shared.

One night, as they danced in the moonlight, Johnny stopped and looked at Baby. “Baby, we have to let each other go. It’s the only way,” he said, his voice filled with sadness.

Tears streamed down Baby’s face as she nodded. She knew he was right, but the thought of losing him again was unbearable.

The next day, Baby and her family packed their bags and prepared to leave the resort. As they said their goodbyes, Johnny took Baby’s hand and led her to a quiet spot by the lake.

“Promise me you’ll never forget me, Baby,” he said, his eyes filled with love.

“I promise,” she replied, tears in her eyes.

They embraced, holding each other tightly, knowing that it was goodbye for good this time. As they parted, Baby turned to look back at Johnny one last time, tears streaming down her face.

Years passed, and Baby and Johnny went their separate ways. Baby remained happily married to Neil, and they had more children together. Johnny continued to teach dance, passing on his knowledge to new generations of dancers.

But no matter how much time passed, Baby never forgot Johnny, and the love they shared that one magical summer. She carried his memory with her always, a reminder of the power of true love.

JOHNNY: Hey, you okay?

BABY: (startled) Oh, Johnny. Yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking.

JOHNNY: About what?

BABY: (sighs) My family. They just don’t understand me, you know? They want me to be this perfect little girl who just follows their rules.

JOHNNY: (nodding) Yeah, I get that. My old man used to be the same way.

Baby looks up at Johnny, impressed by his words.

BABY: You know, I never thought I’d meet someone like you here.

JOHNNY: (smiling) Same goes for me. You’re different from the other guests. You’re not afraid to be yourself.

BABY: (smiling) Thanks, Johnny. That means a lot.

Baby walks towards the staff quarters feeling a little nervous. Johnny is waiting for her outside his room, leaning against the door frame.

Johnny:

Hey, you made it.

Baby:

Yeah, sorry I’m late. My sister insisted on tagging along.

Johnny:

No worries. Ready for your next lesson?

Baby:

Definitely.

Johnny leads her inside, and they start their lesson. Baby is picking up the steps much quicker than before, and Johnny is impressed with her progress. As they dance, they can feel the electric chemistry between them growing stronger.

Johnny:

You’re doing great, Baby. You have a natural talent for dancing.

Baby:

Thanks, Johnny. You’re a great teacher.

Johnny:

You’re a fast learner. It won’t be long before you can dance circles around me.

Baby:

(laughs) I highly doubt that.

Johnny:

You’d be surprised. You have the potential to be an amazing dancer.

As they continue dancing, they get lost in the moment, and Johnny spins Baby around. She stumbles, and they both fall to the ground in a fit of laughter. They both land on the floor, with Johnny on top of Baby. They look into each other’s eyes, and time seems to stand still.

Johnny:

(smiling) Oops, I guess I got carried away.

Baby:

(smiling back) It’s alright. I don’t mind.

They lay there, lost in each other’s company, until they hear a knock on the door.

Johnny stands up and brushes himself off before opening the door to reveal Penny, who looks at the two of them with a knowing smile.

Penny:

Sorry to interrupt, but I need to talk to you about the talent show choreography.

Johnny:

Sure thing. I’ll be right there.

Johnny turns back to Baby before leaving.

Johnny:

Same time tomorrow?

Baby:

(smiling) I’ll be here.

Johnny exits the room, leaving Baby to smile to herself as she walks back to her family’s cabin.

FADE TO BLACK.

Scene 4

INT. KELLERMAN’S RESORT – BALLROOM – DAY

Baby and Johnny rehearse their dance routine for the upcoming talent show. Despite a few missteps, they manage to work through the kinks and perfect their routine.

BABY: (breathless) “That was amazing. I never thought I could do any of this.”

JOHNNY: “You’re a natural, Baby. You just have to believe in yourself.”

Baby and Johnny share a moment of connection, their eyes locked in a mutual understanding.

Suddenly, the door bursts open and Robbie, Baby’s sister’s sleazy boyfriend, enters, followed by a group of his friends.

ROBBIE: “Hey, Baby. What are you doing with this low-life, huh?”

BABY: “We’re rehearsing for the talent show, Robbie. Can’t you see we’re busy?”

ROBBIE: “I don’t care about that. I heard some rumors about you and Johnny getting too close. You know that’s against the rules here.”

JOHNNY: “We’re just dancing, man. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

ROBBIE: “I don’t believe you. Stay away from my girl, Johnny, or there will be consequences.”

Robbie and his friends storm out of the ballroom, leaving Baby and Johnny shaken.

BABY: “I’m sorry, Johnny. I didn’t know he was going to do that.”

JOHNNY: “It’s not your fault, Baby. We’ll figure something out.”

The two continue to rehearse, but the tension in the room is palpable. Something tells them that their troubles are far from over.

Scene 5

INT. KELLERMAN’S RESORT – TALENT SHOW REHEARSAL – DAY

Baby and Johnny dance on a makeshift stage in the empty dining hall. Baby stumbles on a tricky step, causing Johnny to catch her.

JOHNNY: (smiling) Come on, Baby, you got this.

BABY: (breathless) I’m trying, it’s just not coming naturally to me.

Johnny takes her hand and places it on his chest.

JOHNNY: Feel the beat, Baby. Let the music guide you.

They continue to dance together, with Johnny guiding Baby’s movements. As they dance, the chemistry between them intensifies.

BABY: (breathless) Wow, I never realized dancing could feel like this.

JOHNNY: (smiling) It’s all about letting go and feeling the music.

Suddenly, a group of staff members burst into the dining hall, interrupting them.

STAFF MEMBER: Sorry to interrupt, folks, but we have to set up for the talent show rehearsal.

Johnny and Baby quickly separate and gather their belongings, both feeling slightly embarrassed.

BABY: What do we do now?

JOHNNY: (smiling) We keep practicing, Baby. We’ve got a show to put on.

Baby smiles back at him, feeling grateful for his encouragement.

INT. KELLERMAN’S RESORT – TALENT SHOW REHEARSAL – NIGHT

The dining hall is now full of guests, eagerly waiting for the talent show to begin. Baby’s family is seated in the front row, with her father looking particularly unhappy about being there.

The host of the show, MAX KELLERMAN, takes the stage.

MAX KELLERMAN: Welcome, everyone, to the annual Kellerman’s talent show. We’ve got a fantastic lineup of acts for you tonight, including our very own staff members.

The first few acts are met with polite applause, but nothing particularly noteworthy. Finally, it’s time for Johnny and Baby to take the stage.

As they begin to dance, the audience falls silent, completely mesmerized by their movements. The dance is sensual, passionate, and full of emotion. The judges are impressed, with one of them even giving a standing ovation.

When the dance is over, the audience erupts into thunderous applause, with many people on their feet. Baby’s family looks stunned, with her father looking particularly displeased.

AFTER THE SHOW

Baby and Johnny are backstage, basking in the afterglow of their performance.

BABY: That was amazing, Johnny. We did it!

JOHNNY: (smiling) We sure did, Baby. You were amazing up there.

Suddenly, Baby’s father storms into the backstage area, looking furious.

BABY’S FATHER: (angrily) What the hell was that performance all about, Baby? You should be ashamed of yourself!

BABY: (defensively) It was just a dance, Dad. What’s wrong with that?

BABY’S FATHER: (shouting) You were up there cavorting with that no-good dance instructor like some kind of slut! You’re coming home with me right now!

Johnny steps in, trying to diffuse the situation.

JOHNNY: (calmly) Sir, I promise you that there was nothing inappropriate about our dance. Baby worked really hard on this routine, and I was just helping her out.

BABY’S FATHER: (sneering) Save it, Romeo. I don’t want my daughter anywhere near you or your kind. We’re leaving right now.

Baby’s father grabs her arm and drags her out of the backstage area, with Baby looking back at Johnny, feeling heartbroken.

BABY: (whispering) I’m sorry, Johnny.

Johnny looks on helplessly, knowing that their time together might be coming to an end.
